Annabelle's POV

I grabbed my robe and headed downstairs. My mom was sitting at the dining room table, lazily stirring a cup of tea.
"Good morning dear," she said. She snapped her fingers and a plate was carried over on a small wave. The floor was still dry in its wake.
I scarfed down my breakfast and headed upstairs to get dressed. I headed back downstairs in a pair of light blue jeans and a red flannel.
"I'm going to go hang out with Hayden," I yelled.
"Ok, be safe and have fun," my mom hollered from the kitchen. I grabbed my coat and headed out to Hayden's house.
After ten minutes I was knocking on her front door.
"Hey girl," I said as she opened the door.
"Hey, I was just about to walk to your house." She looked scared.
"How funny." I stared at my beat- up black converse high tops.
"Well come on in."
We walked up to her room. Her sheets were a mess.
"So Hayden, can I talk to you about something?"
"I was about to ask you the same thing. You first though."
"I had this weird dream. This figure told me there's another hybrid. I don't know what to do. Help!!"
"Huh, what a coincidence." She smoothed out her sheets. The feeling of tension was super awkward.
