The year is 2059, and country, city and town names have been wiped completely away from Earth. Everyone now instead uses separate numbers for their 'town'. Society has almost completely started over after World War III, where we at last got complete peace in the world. Everyone seemed to be perfect, no mental disorders or issues to live with. No disputes held against another.

Everyone called last year the worst of them all, when someone was finally again born with a mental disorder once more, and the world turned back into anarchy for the most part. Except for a few small Zones that lived almost out of the way of everyone, and could spare themselves from the chaos.
Now that pandemonium has ensued on the Earth, there are mad scientists running around everywhere. "The new trend", some would call it. They were like the old Youtuber trend, except much more ferocious. The Zones that have been left alone have very few scientists, which makes it easier to get successful with their works.

This comes to the benefit of Moya Stasny, a young woman at the age of twenty-three who lives in Zone One-Fifty Four, which would've been counted as a very small town somewhere in the state of Iowa. There, she works hard, but battles self doubt. This makes it tough to be motivated and also makes her easy to anger, the worst form of 'madness'. Most would just assume this to be an extreme madness, but really, she was misunderstood. She just had bipolar disorder.

2059; Zone One-Fifty Four; 15:24.
Moya stood alone in her lab, working herself hard to the point of damaged muscles from all the tension in them. She was one of the few scientists who worked alone and didn't have a partner. No one seemed to want to work with her, and though it did sadden her, she knew that she didn't need anyone else to empower her.
She was finishing up with another 'Practice-Project', which was usually just a small invention she practiced with before going on to another major one.
She seemed to be having trouble with fitting two pieces of something together, and it angered her. She scowled, groaning in agony from the tiredness in her muscles. She always stayed up much to late to try and appeal to the standards of any other mad scientist, she wanted to be just like them, yet she never could. She sighed. Put your tools up and go to bed, She thought to herself. You will never be like the rest.
She turned to go put everything up, and moved down her hallway. She left her lab coat on the door to her shop and took the door into her connecting house.
She had a lot of different animals in her house, as she didn't have a spouse or family to live with. Most of the animals were her own inventions that she'd modified for herself. She had maybe a few friends, but didn't get the chance to speak with them all the time from her schedule in her lab.

Moya sighed as she pulled open her fridge, eyeing everything out before picking up a cold chocolate bar, just a small thing to snack on before anything because she didn't feel hungry. She unwrapped the chocolate bar, biting a piece off as she plunged onto her sofa, her regular kitten already come to curl up with her. She knew it wouldn't be long until one of her inventions popped out somewhere, as she gave it the power to eat chocolate by adding chocolate into it's formula when they were made. She kneaded her hands through her kittens fur; this one was named Tracer from her favorite character in Overwatch, an old video game that used to be popular a long while ago. She hadn't been born until years after that decade, but she seemed to be into the kind of retro things from the early 2000s.
Just as Moya turned on her TV, she heard her chocolate-endured animal come running out from the hallway, scampering toward her wildly as he smelled her chocolate. This invention she made had been a mix between a small dog and a cheetah, so it had patches of dog fur and other patches of cheetah patterns along its back. She named this one Theo, because she had always really liked that named.

Moya laughed as Theo jumped onto the sofa, startling the kitten but making the young girl laugh as he was craving for the chocolate she held in her hand. She snapped off a piece, forcing Theo to sit for it before feeding it to him graciously. She laughed more as the mammal ate at the treat quickly.
She shook her head as she pet the inventions fur, saying, "One cannot simply turn a wrench and create life. There must be chocolate." Laughing at her own joke as she watched Theo run off back into the animals room.
She turned back to the television and heard something.
"You need madness in order to achieve greatness."
They were talking about the upcoming convention where you could enter your newest and best inventions, and in return would become one of the most successful named mad scientists in Zones across the world.
She suddenly got a great idea.

She worked herself hard but still never had enough motivation for it. She tried and tried and still couldn't ever get anything done. She was always so angry about everything, impatient. She wanted to be like everyone else but couldn't be, she was never good enough.
"They think I'm a fool- I'll show them I'm a brilliant, crazy fool!" She yelled this on one of her worst days, getting hard to work and searching deep inside her to find motivation. She worked hard for many months, until finally she finally entered the convention.

Months later, she was an even better scientist than before. She pushed herself to that point, and if you do the same, you can achieve greatness as well. Don't give up on yourself.
