Chapter 2

Were now driving down my street. Yes that sounds weird I'm thinking the same thing. We drive past my house and turn into the very next driveway where Miss Simpson lives. "Um what are we doing on my street, next door to my house.. at Miss Simpsons' house?" He starts laughing and gets out of the car. "Well 'Miss Simpson' happens to be my mother and your neighbour" he smiles sarcastically and walks off inside. This is weird. I never knew Miss Simpson had a son well not my age atleast and certainly not Luke Parker.

We walk inside and see Miss Simpson in the living room watching tv "Hey mum" "Hi son" she says without looking behind her "Hey Miss Simpson" she turns around "Oh hi dear I see you've met my son" "Yeah were actually history partners thats why I am here if that ok with you?" "Ofcourse sweetie well you guys better get started" he grabs my hand and we walk up stairs and into his room. Wow he sure has a thing for skateboarding, theres skateboard trophies, skateboard posters and even glass displays with skateboards in them. "Finished admiring my room?" "It's pretty interesting I never would've guessed you liked skateboarding?" "Well theres alot of things you don't know about me sunshine" Well.obviously I know you go to jail every weekend, date girls for sex and break their hearts and ditch school. Well he used to ditch school. I ignore what he says and say "Shall we get started then" thats when a photograph catches the corner of my eyes' attention, I try to figure out who it is. "I'll go call pizza hut, up for extreme cheese?" "Sure" he leaves the room and I walk up to the photograph and see Miss Simpson and a man that looks like an older version of Luke smiling at each other on a beach then in between them is a young Luke Parker. Aw this is so cute. My thoughts are cut off by Luke entering the room so I quickly jump onto his bed and pull out my phone. "Pizza will be here in 15" "Ok" I stare at my phone and go onto my messages. 2 new messages from

Charlie Barlie: Hey where did you go of to today after school? X

Best mum in the world: Hi Anna. I'm going to be working abit late at the hospital tonight so be home soon. I know your at Miss Simpsons so thats fine. See you xo

I reply to Charlie; To Charlie Barlie: Hey yeah sorry I am at Lukes house to start our history project I'll see you at school tomorrow x. Ding dong "That'll be the pizza here now I'll be right back" he stutters and walks out.

"You sure don't eat like a girl you know that ay sunshine" "Yeah well if you're hungry you gotta eat" He laughs out loud. "Shut up" I slap his arm and he starts laughing harder. "Anyways I gotta get home to house sit while mums at work late tonight" I grab my stuff and make my way downstairs. I walk past the living room and say thank you and goodbye to Miss Simpson. I'm about to leave when Luke speaks "Wait I'll walk you to your door" "Its just there Luke I can walk myself" He looks hurt. What the heck. "Something bad could happen" "What in a 30 second time frame?" I laugh and walk down his driveway and up mine. I hear his footsteps coming on my front porch and I turn around and hit into his hard, warm chest. "Woah sorry.. um thank you for tonight well yeah thanks I'll see you tomorrow?" "Yeah whatever" He says with a straight face and walks off. Talk about rude.

I storm inside and go upstairs. I enter my room and throw my stuff on my bed and get changed into my superman boxers and a grey oversized hoodie that goes down pass my boxers. I put on fluffy socks, tie my hair into a messy bun and make my way downstairs to the kitchen to make me a smoothie. I finish making my smoothie and go into the lounge and watch my favourite programme Keeping up with the Kardashians. My mind travels off thinking about what Luke said earlier on and how it hurt me. I couldn't possibly like him so why do I care if he hurt me or not. Hes a player. I fall asleep as soon as I finish drinking my smoothie.

"ANNA YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE GET UP" This is not how I want to be woken up at 6am. I groan as I make my way upstairs into the bathroom and turn on the shower. I walk out of the shower and go to my closet. I pick out my faded blue ripped skinny jeans and wear it with a white cropped singlet which shows off half of my tan belly. I put on my white low cut converses and tie my long wet hair into a messy ponytail which falls down into the middle of my back. I grab my bag and iPhone then rush downstairs. "I'll drive you to school today sweetie grab an apple and hop into the car" I grab an apple and go out to mums car.

As I get in I look over to Lukes house and see him getting into his car. He looks my way and sees me and smiles. Wow what happened to being unpolite to me? I smile in return and mum comes out and starts the car. I hope I don't see him around today.

"Bye mum" I kiss my mothers cheek and get out of the car. "Bye sweetie have a good day at school" I walk through the entrance and go down to C block to my gym class and bump into a hard warm wall. Wait walls aren't warm. Well unless this wall has very good insulation. Just look up and see what it is Annabelle. I look up and see bright hazel eyes that look familiar. Luke. Damn it I didn't want to see him today. "Why in such a rush sunshine?" He says with an evil smirk on his face. "I'm late for gym" I say walking around him and leaving until he speaks again "With Mr Hayes?" "Yeah" "So do I lets go" What I didn't know he had the same gym class as me either. What other classes does this boy share with me?

We ended up being late to gym and Mr Hayes gave us a huge telling off so now I'm getting change into my purple flowy shorts and black singlet to start running laps with Luke for being late. I walk out on to the field and see a Luke Parker with no shirt on showing off his 6 pack and baggy shorts showing his beautiful v line. "We don't have all day sunshine c'mon" I don't want him to see me run. I jog over to him and we start running. We finish 9 laps and have 1 more to go. "Wanna race?" I look at him and he says "You have nothing to say cause you know I'll beat your pretty big ass" He winks at me. Then I take one glance at him and take off. I start laughing which causes me to slow down and he zooms straight pass me like Usain Bolt. Damn he was fast.

I give up and walk back to the gym then suddenly I'm picked up in the air and thrown over Lukes shoulders. I scream as loud as I can "PUT ME DOWN ASSHOLE!" He laughs so hard he falls to the ground causing me to go down on my back and him on top of me. This is a very awkward position. He looks at me. I look at him. He brushes some hair out of my face and starts leaning in closer. Is he going to kiss me. No hes just a stupid player and only wants to leave me heartbroken. Why am I not moving away. "Parker, Scott what do you think you're doing?!" Mr Hayes interupts the beautiful moment. We stumble and get up off each other. "Um we finished our laps sorry Mr Hayes" I say "Yeah ok go get changed its lunch time" I was walking back through the gym after getting dressed when suddenly I was pulled into a closet. I screamed. "Shh were going to get in trouble" the voice of Luke rung through my ears causing my heart to skip a beat. "What the hell Luke?" "I needa ask you something" My heart literally stopped. What does he want to ask me? "Well what is it?" I saying with un even breath. "Well.. um... do you like me?" We've only known each other for 2 days and hes already trying to get me to fall for him. "Sorry Luke but unlike other girls who willingly jump into bed with you.." He looked so hurt right now "...I have a brain to not fall for you and get left alone heart broken." He stares at me like I'm stupid. "But thats where you're wrong you're different than the other girls" "We've only know each other for 2 days Luke c'mon" and with that I walk out of the closet and exit the gym, making my way to the cafeteria.
