"Why can't you just lay down and heal?" She asked.
"Look Wendy, I need to find her. Mabel means everything to me. She's my twin. I can fly if that makes things better. Heck, come with me if you want! Just don't get in my way," I told her.
She agreed to my terms.
We were off as soon as she and I ate, and she packed up survival stuff. Food, water, and a few other things.
When I told her I didn't need food, she refused to pack any less than what could sustain both of us as complete humans.
I just rolled my eyes.
We trekked into the forest to where she said her brother found me.
"This seems right. And there's blood on that tree..." I said.
"It could be animal blood," Wendy pointed out.
"I'm pretty sure it's mine. See those small shimmering blue flecks in it?" I asked her.
"Yeah?"
"It's my blood."
Wendy cringed. "Why is there blue in your blood?"
"Magic. It puts your soul stone into your blood. Bill, for example, would have pure gold blood if he were human. I have lapis lazuli shards in my veins," I explained to her.
She had stared at me in disbelief.
"Let's follow the trail of blood," I said.
She winced. But she and I followed the trail, she walking and I flying.
We eventually arrived at a somewhat steep hill.
"Dipper, look. Marks. It means someone fell down the hill," Wendy said.
"And lapis lazuli infused blood on the rocks. Although...I don't remember falling. I probably did," I said. We followed the blood up the hill.
Well...I flew and carried Wendy up the hill. It was too steep to walk up.
