Landyn looked up as Camden sat down, his eyes brightening. Alysson and Kendall grew quiet and watched the scene lay out. They were sat under a tall oak tree about a hundred feet from the school.
"Hey, err, Cam," Landyn said awkwardly. Camden laughed slightly and nodded.
"Yeah, 'ey," he said, equally as awkward. "I, err, I'm sorry fer 'ow I've been actin'. I was a git."
"Yeah, well, you were a bit of an ass," Landyn smiled teasingly as Camden shoved him playfully.
"Right, well," Camden sighed. "I just, err, just wanted to apologize, I guess, so... Yeah."
Alysson sighed in exasperation, catching the attention of all three boys. Kendall looked affronted for a moment, realization dawning in his eyes as Alysson began to rant. He made as if he were going to stop her, but she shut him down with a glare and turned back toward the confused couple.
"You two are absolutely ridiculous!" Alysson exclaimed. "You never fight. This isn't even really a fight! It's merely you being a git and him being too impatient to deal with it. You're both assholes. Get over yourselves and go back to being the cute, loving couple we all know you are. You might as well just have sex already, honestly. The tension in this area is just about too much for me to bear. We all know you two aren't awkward, and certainly not with each other, so quit pretending you don't know what to say and go snog on the roof or something."
Camden's jaw dropped and he stared at Alysson in horror. She simply studied her well-groomed nails and flipped her neck-length hair disinterestedly.
Landyn turned toward Camden and smiled apologetically. Camden smirked and leaned over to kiss his cheek before turning to lay his head in his boyfriend's lap and glancing back over at Kendall and Alysson. Camden had never been one who handled certain situations well.
"As fun as snogging on th' roof sounds," Camden smirked smugly, "I came down 'ere to spend time wiv me friends. If you two would rather go snog somewhere, though, that's fine. Landyn and I could go find Finn if you're busy."
Alysson's face turned beat red and she froze, her eyes flicking toward Kendall, who was equally red if not more so.
"What- what ever do you mean by that?" Alysson stuttered, her voice shaking. Landyn stifled a laugh by fake coughing as Camden shrugged and regarded them nonchalantly.
"There's no shame in it," Camden glanced up at Landyn. "People like 'o they like, even if one o' them 'appens to be a proclaimed 'omosexual."
Alysson and Kendall looked at each other, their faces red and their eyes teary. Alysson glanced back at her nails and sighed before standing.
"I- I have to go powder my nose," she claimed suddenly before dashing off, back into the building.
Camden watched her leave in mild surprise before looking back at Kendall.
"Well, go after 'er and apologize fer me behavior," Camden said as if it were the obvious response. "Get your girl, Kendall. You deserve 'er, and she needs someone like you."
Kendall simply stared for a moment, wringing his hands together. Then he nodded and followed swiftly after Alysson.
"You're lucky that'll have good consequences," Landyn pointed out. Camden shrugged.
"I'm not worried 'bout it," Camden smirked and shut his eyes. Landyn laughed and started running his hands through Camden's hair.
"You're an ass," Landyn said, but his tone was endearing. Camden grinned, not opening his eyes, and turned over to look up at Landyn. He let his eyes flutter open as he reached up to grab Landyn's face.
