The door bell rings just as Clyde gasps. Currently, we're sat in my living room. A blanket is laid over our laps, a bowl of popcorn balancing; half on my knee, half on Clyde's. We're sat so close that it's possible for this to happen.Any sudden movements will cause the bowl to fall, and it won't be very pleasant to clean it all up.
I pick up the overflowing popcorn bowl, placing it only on Clyde's lap. His hand plunges into the golden mess, his eyes staying glued to the screen. I slowly stand up, stretching.
When you're as tall as I am, it's always very uncomfortable to sit so scrunched up for so long. The door bell rings sharply, again. It's once again followed by an over dramatic gasp from Clyde, and the ending theme to the current episode of Sailor Moon Clyde is so obsessed with.
I approach my door, and swiftly open just as the person behind it presses their finger against the doorbell. It's Craig.
"Thank you for attempting to break my door bell," I tell him, but I smile anyway. It's always polite to smile at the person waiting outside your door.
However, Craig pushes past me and is no longer waiting outside my door. He strides into the living room, uninvited.
I sigh, mumbling. "Cash me outside, howbout dah." Yet I let him stay.
"Fighting evil by moonlight. Winning love by daylight. Never running from a real fight. She is the one named Sailor Moon!" Clyde chants along to the opening theme of the next episode, almost spilling the bowl of popcorn with his ridiculous yet adorable dancing.
"Clyde!" I scold, rushing over to move the popcorn bowl. "My mum will actually destroy me if we make a mess."
Clyde smiles apologetically, still singing the song.
I face Craig. "Not that I'm complaining," I start, my head slightly dipped to look into Craig's eyes, "but what brings you here?"
Craig shuffles in his spot. "You know, it's really offensive to talk down to me like that. I'm not even that much shorter than you."
"He does this all the time." Clyde butts in, munching on popcorn. "Even if you're a centimetre shorter than him, he's still taller."
I smile at Clyde. "Thank you for clearing thinks up Clyde."
"I find that quite racist." Craig randomly says, hand on his hip.
"How is that even remotely racist?" I ask, and Craig shrugs.
"It's something with the phrase 'ist' added on." Craig randomly hand gestures in an attempt to get his point across. I giggle.
Clyde snorts. "I may as well repeat the question," he begins, leaning back on the couch. The popcorn bowl shakes causing my breath to hitch. "What do you want Craig?"
"Oh, yeah." He says, as if he had forgotten why he had come here. He randomly grabs my hand and clutches it, and I'm instantly shocked at how unusually soft his skin is.
Normally, I wouldn't compare human skin to silk, because that's just creepy, but still.
"Uh.. Craig?" I ask, trying to tug my hand back but his grip is strong.
"What I want is to speak to Kevin, privately." At the added word, Clyde stands up. The popcorn bowl tumbles to the floor. I whimper.
