"Honey?" Allies mother called.

"Yes, mom?"

"Are you ready, Colin is waiting outside!"

"Yeah, let me just finish my makeup." Allie hollered down.

Allie began to spray her face with her setting spray, coughing as it got in her mouth. She soon set the bottle down and took a look around the room.

The room had beige walls, but black and white accents around the room. When you entered you could see the bed which had a white comforter with black pillows and a black bedscarf. Above the black beaded headboard there were bulb lights hanging to outline the wall. Along with the lights there were four pictures of cities she'd always want to visit. Las Vegas, Paris, Chicago, and last but certainly not least was New York,  where she was going tonight. She closed the door sighing at her room, it wasn't perfectly clean but it would have to do, or they'd miss their flight.

Allie ran downstairs, tripping on her foot and the last step and fell on the hardwood floor. She glanced up to see her dirty blonde, green eyed, short, skinny mom biting her lip, trying not to laugh. "Maybe you shouldn't be going to the Big City without your mom, or your cat." Her mom smiled through her words.

"You know I'm ready for this, mom. I just can't believe you are actually letting me go." Allie rolled her eyes, still smiling.

"I know, I know. It's just that it's your first trip without me or your dad. You're growing up. Plus you're going with a boy!" Allies mother exclaimed.

"Are you serious? Mom, it's Colin. He's been my best friend since forever. We grew up and took baths together. You know I have no feelings for him."

"But you know he has feelings for you. Why else would he take you to some stupid concert? Plus since you've grown up you have always said how you want a dark hair, light eyed, tall boy." Allie's mom points out.

"You right, you right. But maybe things change."

Allie wraps her mom in a hug and smiles. Walking to the front door she notices Colin in his jeep, looking somewhat impatient, but still smiled at Allie.

"You ready for this, Allie? This flight is going to be so long." Colin stated.

"Shut up, its only an hour and thirty minutes."

"I know, it's called sarcasm, honey. You should know this."

"It is 5 o'clock in the morning, you think I'm even listening to you?" Allie chuckled, with Colin rolling his eyes.

"Let's just get to the airport."
