"Wake up, Colin. We are here." Allie whispered in Colin's ear, shaking him. Colin jumped up, the seatbelt stopping him from jumping too far. Allie knew Colin was a somewhat heavy sleeper, so when someone woke him up he would jerk like no other.
Colin didn't say a word, just groaned, ready to get off the flight.

Allie took a deep breath and smelled the New York air- hoping it would smell good, but it smelled like musty, rotting pipes. Colin eyed her while she did this. "Allie, you know those scenes in the movies are fake. The city never smells good. You are such a cliché."
"Fuck you, Colin. Let me have my moment seeing the Big Apple for the first time." Allie retorted.
"We just got out of the air port, we aren't even in the Big Apple."
"You just want to ruin my mojo, don't you?"
"Maybe, only a little though." Colin chuckled, "Lets get a cab and go to the hotel, Als. I know you want to change and get ready for tonight."
"You, my sir, are correct." Allies responded.

The ride to the hotel was about an hour, the traffic wasn't too bad for being 7 a.m. and people having to go to work. Allie and Colin had just checked in to the Renaissance Hotel. They had a sleek exterior that was in the middle of Times Square, it cost a lot but they decided to go all out. The entrance doors had heaters, but they didn't need them on this time of year. It was summer, around 90 degrees. When you walk up to the reception desk you see a classy chandelier with beautiful twinkling lights and under it there was an abstract statue that was wooden, this fit perfectly with the black wooden walls. They trekked to the elevator and arrived upstairs within moments. There was another lobby that had a chalk wall with designs all over it, this led to the next set of elevators. They hopped onto one and were soon on the floor, Allie squealed like a kid in a candy shop, she was overwhelmed with all of this.
"Why don't you get ready for the concert, Allie. G-Eazy is gonna wanna have some hot groupies." Colin winked at her, making her cringe.
"Why don't you shower you're starting to reek." Allie said this to get on his nerves, she knows he is self conscious about his smell. But he always smells amazing so, Allie jokes with him.
