I see the world as it is
No rose coloured glasses for me
Each day a new beginning
A new story, a new symphony
The morning sun awakens me
Gently, with its soothing rays
A soft breeze across my window sill
A smile to start my day
My heart skips a beat in wonder
At what awaits this new dawn
Will I have everything in hand?
Will I find where I belong?
I see now and understand
That each day is a special gift
God has given me another chance
To sail smooth, not go adrift
Just day by day, is how I must
Live this life; simple, honestly
