im losing hope with these numbers guys, i can't remember the number of the last chapter and im too lazy to go back...

i walk out of the lunchroom and into the library. Tears were about to spill and I didn't want bullies. Out of the corner of my eye, I spy Mark talking to a much taller boy with curly brown hair. Quickly, I walk past him and hope he didn't see me.

He saw you loser...

This voice really needs to stop. "Hey Jack!" I hear Mark greet. I stop in my tracks and debated replying. "H-Hey Mark." I say back and slowly turn around.

"I was wondering if you... umm... wanted to go to see that movie, Two Happy Boys? You were really excited about it but sad you couldn't afford to see it so I got us both tickets! Heh..." Mark asks and sctratches his neck.

"Wait, really?" Did this guy really? GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE! OMG IM GONNA SEE IT!

"Uh, yeah!" He replies and smiles warmly.

"I'd love to!" I exclaim and hug him uncontrollably. After a while of us hugging Mark asks me a question.

"Jack, why were you crying when you were running down the hall?"

I gasped and pulled away from the hug. Mark looked a little disappointed but quickly shook it off.

What are you gonna say now?

Stop please...

"I..."

"You don't have to tell me Jack. But if you need help I'm here." He assured me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks Mark." I thank and hug him again.

I couldn't help but notice that Mark was being a little touchy today. But hey, these hugs I've been getting lately are a nice change. Better than getting smacked for existing.
