Mafu stared blankly at his cup of hot coffee, sometimes glancing at the raven haired man in front of him. How he wished that the raven might talk to him like he used to be, hold him close like he was before, to kiss him whenever he's sad just like the good old days.

"Sora-"

"Sorry Mafu, I need to go now"

The raven stood up and put his phone back in his pocket. Mafu let out a small 'oh' and slumped back to his sofa.

"Okay..."

The raven kissed his lips for some seconds (more like smacking his lips with his own).

"I'll be back later"

And with that, the raven was gone, leaving the albino with two cups of hot coffee. The raven didn't even drink his coffee (which is strange to Mafu since the raven never leave the coffee untouched).
Mafu took the two cups, walking to the kitchen and put them on the sink, too lazy to wash them. He went back to the living room, which seem darker and colder than usual.
Where did it went wrong?
He always think of that. He didn't remember when Soraru became distant from him. Was it after their small argument?

No...it's only because we were fighting over a cake

Mafu almost laughed when he thought about it. Almost. Even the smallest smile didn't attach to the usually happy albino. But Mafu felt a curve on his lips.

Might have been a bitter smile...

Mafu sighed as he paced through the room. Thinking why Soraru became distant..thinking what the hell went wrong in their relationship. Can it be that...Soraru didn't love him anymore? Can it be that Soraru found someone better than him and out of pity, still being with him? No..he can't think about bad things like this.

Maybe a small walk will help me clear my mind...

-----

Mafu shivered whenever he felt cold wind hit his face. He looked around and cringed. He can see happy couples everywhere.
Maybe...just maybe, Soraru was too busy and tired so he can't spend his time with him, right? Yeah, that just might be the case.
Walking past a café he used to go with Soraru, he looked into the glass. And his heart stopped. His red eyes widened in disbelief.
There, inside is Soraru. Smiling and laughing so happily it broke his heart. Not the fact that Soraru looked so happy, it's the fact that Soraru looked so happy WITH some other girl.

"Soraru....san..."

With a small voice, Mafu called for him, not that he can hear him. The more Mafu stood there, more pieces of his heart broke.
And then it hit him. Soraru didn't love him. Soraru loves someone else. Mafu was just...a nuisance. Right...he was nothing but a trash. Soraru stayed with him not because he loves him, Soraru just pity him.
Finally, he ran. He ran away from there. He can't..he can't...he just can't. Everything was so blury he can't see the road in front of him...and the red light.

He got hit by a truck.

-----

"....him.......head..memories..."

Mafu opened his eyes as he heard hushed voice. He can't really catch what the voice was saying, more over with the headache he got.

"Oh it seems like he woke up"

An unfamiliar voice got into his ears and he looked around. Everything was white, and someone who looked like a doctor was standing in front of him.

"I'll leave him here with you..."

As the doctor left, a raven haired man walked in.

"Thank you"

The deep hushed voice Mafu heard made his heart felt warm yet pained. Mafu tried to sit down as the man rushed to him and helped him.

"Thank god you're awake..I was worried that you-"

"Who are you?"

The man stopped talking and widened his eyes before letting them fell back to normal.

"I saw you when you got hit by that truck, so I called the hospital"

"I see..thank you so much"

Silence was all over the room and Mafu felt uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. He just sit there, staring blankly at his hands.

"....are you...my friend? Or someone I know?"

Mafu kept looking down, yet he stole a glance and saw a small bitter smile on the man's face.

"No....I just saved you because I felt like I need to"

"Oh.."

The raven haired man glanced at the clock and softly smiled. So soft it made Mafu's chest tighten.

"I need to go know, if you don't mind"

He stood up and put his phone back into his pocket. Mafu didn't realize that he was holding his phone all along.

"I hope you recover soon, good bye"

With that the raven walked out from the room. Leaving Mafu alone. Silence was still inside the room as suddenly, tears fell down onto the blanket.
Mafu cried. Finally, his heart really broke. He pretended to got a memory loss, yet he didn't. He still remember everything, but the accident. He even remember that the raven, Soraru, wasn't happy with him. So he let him go. He thought Soraru will tried to make him remember, but he didn't. It pained Mafu so much. It pained him to let go of Soraru. But...if it is for the best...

"Soraru-san...I'm sorry...Soraru-san...I love you"

Mafu kept crying all day until he pass out from tiredness. Onto the dark cold dreamless sleep. After this, he will never meet Soraru ever again.

Is it really the best...for both of us?
