chapter 2
The next day at school that's when everything went different. Katelyne was waiting for the bus as usual but when she got in there was another girl sitting next to Ethan.
Jakob, one of Ethan's bestfriend and bandmate seat was open next to him so she just sat down.
Katelyne couldn't help but think about Ethan and that girl. Ethan saw Katelyne walk past but he couldn't do anything since his girlfriend Stephanie was sitting right there.
The whole day Ethan was with Stephanie and Katelyne felt her heart just kept being poked at. Ethan felt terrible but he was head over heels for Stephanie.
As Ethan had his tongue down Stephanies throat, Katelyne slammed her locker and walked home. She hadn't even had a full day of school, but she just wanted to be alone in the comfort of her bed. Jakob saw and followed after.
"Hey wait up" called Jakob.
When Jakob first saw Katelyne, he thought she was so beautiful but Ethan was his best mate, and he saw that they had left school together.
Katelyne stopped, once she turned around she saw one of Ethan's band mates, yet she still didn't know his name.
"Uh... hi?" replied Katelyne, very confused.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah just getting used to this place" Katelyne awkwardly laughed. What Katelyne had said was some what true, but didn't want to explain the pain in her chest, when she wasn't quite sure why though if the thing with Ethan clearly was a 'friendly' gesture since she was new.
"You sure? You looked kind of upset" Jakob said scratching the back of his neck.
"Positive" and like that the conversation ended as quickly as it started.
Jakob was hurt that Katelyne couldn't even talk to him but in a way he understands. She's clearly into Ethan but he kept thinking 'Ethan's an asshole who led her on, she deserves better and I'm that better'.
As soon as Katelyne got home, there was no one home which was no surprise to her. She took a shower and decided to take a quick nap, because I mean who doesn't love a good nap.
The day was almost over, and Ethan was so tired. He never really sleeps though, he always has so much on his mind too. As he entered Chemistry it was all the same until he heard his teacher call out a name that he's been hearing all the time in class but he thought it was In his mind.
"Katelyne Visser"
"One more time Katelyne"
Ethan has her in the most of her classes and he didn't even know. Why does he care so much about Katelyne he barley knows anything about her. Then again he's never done anything to what he did for Katelyne to his own girlfriend.
Jakob came late to class which caught Ethan's attention. Ethan chose to ignore he was so busy caught up thinking about Katelyne. 'Why does she affect me so much I've only known her for one day'.
The whole day passed by and as Jakob was walking home, he saw Katelyne taking pictures. Jakob thought it was the most cutest thing ever, he decided to approach her.
As Katelyne saw the boy that tried talking to her earlier come up to her she was so confused.
"Hey, well um.. I know you don't know who I am. But, I would love to get to know you" Jakob tried getting the words out of his mouth.
"I don't even know you're name" Katelyne replied with a tint of pink in her cheeks.
"Oh, um its Jakob. I would really want to go watch a movie with you"
"I would love to but a movie is a really cheesy first date" Katelyne replied with a smile which made Jakob relax more and smile back.
"Well there is this fair on Friday night and I would love to take you on your first Australian fair" Jakob said, which sounded so much better in his head.
Katelyne laughed and was already forgetting about the night she had with Ethan.
"Its a date then" Katelyne said with a smirk.
They soon exchanged numbers and as Jakob was walking away he instantly texted her.
Ethan was pissed off that Jakob was missing band rehearsal, while the other band mate Chris didn't really mind. As Ethan saw Jakob coming in with the hugest smile on his face, he couldn't help ask why.
"Mhm and why that smile?" Ethan asked not very mad since he loved seeing his mates happy.
"You know that new girl from America? I got a date with her this Friday" Jakob said still smiling.
Ethan's heart dropped, he was very happy for Jakob he really was but he didn't like the thought of seeing him with Katelyne for an odd reason. Ethan wanted to see Katelyne to see what she says and will be waiting for her at the rock. To both him and Katelyne that was their little spot but Katelyne was already forgetting about Ethan.

"Bro Jakob is so cute, and I'm really exicted for Friday. Oh my god what if we kiss? He would be my first kiss. I'm freaking out. I don't know how to kiss-" Katelyne got cut off by Madison.
"Dude calmada (calm in Spanish lmaoo) everything will be okay don't worry if you're not ready then don't rush into anything. But hey I have to go we're in different time zones remember?" Madison said ending the FaceTime call.
It got to 3am again, Katelyne really wanted to look up at the stars so like she did one night ago she snuck out through her window wandering around.
Ethan was already there waiting for her, thinking about what she say to her. If she even wants to talk to him he was very nervous which was a new feeling for him.
