"What do you mean I'm not normal?" I asked. "I'm as normal as everyone else in this world!"
"No your not Cameron." She said. "You have special powers. Powers that no one else has. Powers that make you special."
"What if I don't want powers?" my voice raising to a yell. "What if I want to be like everyone else?"
I stormed out of the house and back into the forest. I could feel tears stinging in the back of my eyes as I ran.
I can't have powers. I thought. I'm as normal as everyone else. That's just all full of crap.
I kept running and running for god knows how long. When I finally stopped, my heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to explode any second.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. Then I turned around to see a boy, my age, pointing a gun right at my head.
