Prologue

Nicole's POV

The sunlight shined through the curtains, aiming at Trey's beautiful naked body. But it wasn't the only thing the sunlight aimed at, Trey's wedding ring glossed from the nightstand. The problem was that his wedding ring wasn't from marrying me, no, he was bonded to another woman.

It was wrong of me to be with a married man, as it was wrong for Trey to cheat on his wife. Since the night at the club three months ago, an attraction rested between us impossible to ignore. It was like something so strong was pulling us together. I remembered the way we danced in sync, lust filling our surroundings, as if we were meant to coexist with each other.

Now lying naked after another night full of sins, I couldn't help but admire the man beside me. His dark hair, long eyelashes, high cheekbones, nice set of abs and amazing hands, had me going crazy ever since I've first laid my eyes on him.

While he's twenty four and married, I'm twenty two and a recently graduate. Trey has been married to Erica over a year, they've recently moved to the apartment building on the college campus. Both him and Erica were studying for their masters. I was currently sharing one of the two apartments in the top floor with my brother Derek and our childhood friend, Riley.

Trey and I met by coincidence when he locked himself out of his apartment. Since then we've been together during the times his wife goes to a business trip or has late meetings. Many would see me as the woman who broke apart a marriage, and that I was a whore for sleeping with a married man. I knew it was up to me to break the affair, until I found out I was pregnant.

My plans to leave Trey changed when the pregnancy test showed two pink lines. I realized I wasn't leaving his side anytime soon and to be honest, I was so excited to tell him about the baby. I even went the extra mile to make hotel reservations and make everything perfect to tell him the good news. Again, my plans changed when I saw a sobbing Erica outside my apartment door. My first thought was that Trey told her or she found out somehow, but what she told me left me completely shattered.

I didn't know what to do, I was completely lost. What she told me was a life changing experience and if I was her I wouldn't want to go through it alone; she needed Trey more than I did. She's his wife for God's sake! So, I planned to head back home and leave their marriage alone.

It has been four years since I've left my family's rich lifestyle. Now that I'm a business woman and capable of handling my heritage, I would need to head back home and take my position as head of the McPherson's empire.

My grandparents from my mother's side, together they created an empire in Boston, which my grandmother refused to pass on to my selfish, money wasting parents after her death. The will clearly stated that the oldest grandchild, me, was to be in control. Of course my parents still lived in grand with the money of my father's parents. Derek and I swore to never live in such manner and decided to leave Boston. It wasn't until I've received the letter of my grandmother's lawyer that we decided go back. And so my decision was made.

Tomorrow was Trey and Erica's masters ceremony recognition. He wanted me there but he wouldn't see me after today. I wanted to feel him in my arms one more time before I departed tonight. Of all the lovemaking we've had, this was far the most intense.

With a sigh I untangled myself from the silk sheets. I found paper and pen, and left a note. I kissed his lips one last time and left the love of my life. I knew I was making the right decision, his wife needed him. I took a cab back to my apartment, then headed to the airport and for Boston.
