Rose's POV

I remember that day when Louis said goodbye...

He texted it to me.

I just laughed and responded back, "Yeah, go have fun!!! Good luck best friend and if Simon turns you down go all sass masta of Doncasta on him. If you dont get a gf soon I will have to find you one haha."

But I should have told him not to leave his best friend behind.

I have spent hours, weeks, months, and heck, even years thinking about him. How maybe if this was all different I might still have my best friend....

Slamming the door to the car I jammed in the keys and sat there, the heat on, drumming my fingers on the dashboard.

I have watched every music video.

I have watched every interview.

I have seen every damn tweet, picture, and video there is to see with them.

I have every damn shirt of them.

But maybe this was all for nothing.

Flooring the gas pedal, I zoomed down the street, not daring to turn on the radio in case yet another radio announced Louis Tomlinson's 21st birthday. (A/N: I have decided to make it a little ways back because I just think it's easier to make a fanfiction this way... so no Zerrie engagement yet, Payzer still is on...no false Hendall or Barbara drama...  love Barbara BTW but still the drama fans make a mess of friendships. -.-Anyway, enough with the rant)

It angered me. He promised he wouldn't forget.

He promised.

**Flashback**

Louis came back out with the cookies and swept back into his plastic chair. "I got the cookies!" He grinned, shoving three in his mouth at once, while I grabbed one and took a delicate bite.

"No shit, Sherlock." I mimicked, nodding towards the plate. "I have eyes you know, I can see you."

"Good, now take a picture, this way you can see me even when you're sleeping." He said sarcastically.

I burst out laughing. But slowly it died out and I looked back at Louis. "Dammit, Louis, you better promise not to forget me when you become rich and famous. If you do, I will march up to your door and remind you every fucking day until it is burned into your brain. And if you still ignore me, I will tell every fan of yours where you live so they will hunt you down and ask for you to sleep with them."

Louis gave me a look. "How much time did you spend thinking about me going to audition?"

I sighed. "Ummmm..... possibly maybe three and a half weeks plus ...." I let it die out.

Louis just smiled. "Rose, I'll be back. Best friends don't ditch best friends." He then pulled me into a hug. It was a friendship hug, one he gave me whenever I was stressed or upset. A single tear rolled down my cheek and landed on his plain white shirt. He looked down and smiled. "I'm going to get a Sharpie and mark where that tear was today. When I go to X- Factor, if the smallest chance I do make it, I will remember to wear it all the time. It will be the shirt that will make me remember you." Now a tear slid down his face, landing on my blouse.
