Chapter 4: Connecting

Till and Maddie approached the matte black vehicle.
"Yours car is really nice." Maddie said, Till smiled and replied with a modest "thank you."
Maddie shifted the rose bouquet to the other hand, going to open her car door.
Till quickly noticed and ran over to the other side. "Let me get it for you, dear."
Maddie's face grew a deep crimson, and smiled.
"Thank you." She replied before getting into the car, Till closing the door and going back to his side and entering the car and buckling up. "Alright," Till began. "Let me get my GPS out so we can get headed there." He said with his thick German accent. Maddie nodded, pulling out her phone to text Cherry.
M "Guess what"
C "what?"
M "Till opened my door for me and called me dear!!!! So cute :')"
C "aww!!!!"

"Ready?" Till looked at Maddie.
Maddie nodded her head in agreement, then put her phone back into her bag and putting it at her feet. Till started his car and began driving. "It's only about 15 minutes away." Till smiled, sliding his free hand onto Maddie's thigh.
Maddie's eyes grew wide, he face getting darker, a smile creeping on her face.
"Oh, I'm sorry should I move my hand?" Till asked. Maddie let out a slight "no."
"Huh?" Till asked.
The brunette answered with a louder "No, it's okay." She looked at Till and smiled, and Till looked from the corner of his eye. "You're so adorable, Maddie."
She giggled hearing such a kind compliment, but the rest of the car ride was silent after that.

"Oh there's the restaurant." Till said, turning right into the restaurant parking lot, moving both of his hands back to the well, pulling up into a parking spot and shutting off his car, unbuckling and walking over to Maddie's side.
"Here. You can leave your flowers here, they'll be safe." Maddie nodded, and unbuckled and coming out of the car and walking up to the German man. He smiled, and held his hand out for Maddie to hold. Maddie blushed and put her hand into his, having him lead her to the restaurant.

"Hello, welcome to the Cheesecake Factory!" A young hostess greeted them. "Is this for 2?"
Till smiled and nodded his head.
"Okay! Would you like a booth or table?"
Till looked at Maddie, "which do you prefer?"
"A booth please."
"Alrighty, no problem!" The hostess led them to the booth and placed 2 menus and a set of silverware down on the table.
"Haileigh, your waitress will be you in a just a moment! Enjoy your night!" The hostess walked away to greet more costumers.
Maddie and Till sat in the booth and glanced at the menu,
"Hmmmmmm. Everything looks really good haha." Maddie said
"Order anything you want, it's on me."
Maddie smiled, looking into Till's eyes, "you really don't have to pay."
Till shook his head, "I don't have to, but I want to." Maddie blushed and smiled.
Following after, a girl about 5'5" medium length blonde-ish hair came over the the booth.
"Hi!! I'm Haileigh and I'll be taking care of you guys tonight! Have you decided on any drinks yet?"
Maddie smiled looking at the waitress, "could I get a root beer please?"
"A root beer? Okay!" The waitress replied. "And for you sir?"
Till looked up at her, "could I just get a Coke please?"
"Absolutely sir!" She wrote it down, "alright I will be back with your drinks shortly."
Till and Maddie looked at the menu, "ugh. I can't decide." Till said.
"Hmm, the four cheese pasta with chicken sounds good! How about we both get that?"
Till smiled, "alright, sounds good to me." Maddie smiled, "I'm really glad you asked me out tonight Till, the truth is I've be-"
Maddie was cut off by Haileigh bringing back their drinks.
"Have you decided or do you need more time?"
Till smiled, "we're ready."
Haileigh pulled out her waitress note pad, "Okay what I can get for you all?"
Maddie said, "We'll both have the 4 cheese pasta with chicken, please."
"Alrighty guys, I'll go ahead and take your menus and I'll be back shortly with you food." Haileigh smiled and walked to the back.
"What're you saying?" Till asked
Maddie shook her head, "I forget haha I'm sorry." Till tilted his head, "whenever you remember let me know okay?"
Maddie nodded.
It was about 15 minutes before the couple received their food.
"Okay guys, here's your pasta! If you need anything just holler for me."
They both nodded saying thank you, before each taking a bite of the food.
"Wow." Till began, "I haven't had pasta this good since... actually never mind. Haha."
Maddie looked at him, "since when?" A concerned look on her face.
"Don't worry about it, they're not in my life anymore." Till smiled.
"Oh, okay." Maddie replied eating her pasta.
Shortly after they both had finished their pasta.
Haileigh came to the table, "Did you all wanna get some cheesecake to go?"
Till looked at Maddie, "do you?"
Maddie nodded. Till said to Haileigh, "yes we would."
Haileigh said "Okay, let me go take back your plates then I'll come get you to go order."
"Thank you Till replied."

Maddie pulled the cheesecake menu from behind the little sugar, Splenda and ketchup container at the far end of the table.
"Ooh! There's so many flavors." Till looked over at the menu, "wow that is a lot."
"I'm gonna get the raspberry white chocolate one." Maddie said
Till smiled, "I think I'm gonna get the tiramisu cheesecake."
Haileigh returned, "what kinda cheesecake can I get you guys?"
Till told her the flavors, and very quickly Haileigh get them and had them ready to go.
"You guys can pay at the front desk over there by the door." She smiled. Till pulled out his wallet and left a $10 bill for a tip and made his way over the desk to pay.
