Maddie walked into the German classroom, greeting her friend Tyler with a hug.
"Hey boo." Tyler giggled.
"Hey." Maddie replied sluggishly. Tyler cocked his head to the side., "what's up?" He asked. Maddie sighed, moving her hair out of her face. She shrugged. Tyler rolled his eyes, "you know what's wrong," he began. Nudging Maddie playfully,. "Now tell me what's wrong."
She sighed again, "I'll tell you later okay?" He nodded. The two friends sat down pulling out their German notes waiting for professor Lindemann to come in. He was usually late.
"Pssssssst. Maddieeeeeee." Tyler whispered,
"What?" Maddie whispered back.
"Text me what's wrong boo, please." Tyler said.
Maddie nodded opening her phone.
Maddie: "hey"
Tyler: "what's up boo?"
M: "just I feel like I'm wasting my time being here if I still don't know what I'm going to do with my life."
T: " Dont think like that, you're gonna figure it out cx "
M: "I'm trying"
Professor Till Lindemann entered the room. He was tall, about 6'0", black hair, piercing blue eyes, and a very well built sculpted body. His accent was thick, but his English was almost perfect.
"Hello students, I'd like you to take out your notes vom yesterday." He spoke calmly. Maddie and Tyler shuffled to get their notes out, laying them on the table they sat at. Lindemann walked around the classroom to make sure everyone had their notes.
Noticing everyone had them except... Maddie.
He shook his head. "Vhere are your notes?" He asked
Maddie looked at him, and mumbled
barely audible, "I'm not sure, I'm sorry." He shook his head again. "After class ich will need to talk to you. For now, copy the notes from your friend Tyler."
Maddie sighed, "alright."
The bell rang, everyone got their stuff together and left the room, today was one class day. (Which was every Thursday.) The brunette threw her bag on and walked over to the big German's man desk, his back to her as he wiped down his board from the earlier lesson. "Ah, Miss Higdon," he began "I've been seeing you slip up a lot lately. And I have to ask. Is everything all right?"
Maddie looked at her feet, she could feel the hot tears forming in her eyes. Wiping them away before they come down. She sighed, mumbling "no."
He looked at the girl with a careful gaze, bringing her face up. "Even though I'm teacher, I'm also your friend. Here." He took out a piece of paper and scribbled something down. He handed the paper to her.
She looked up at his blue eyes, he smiled and nodded.
"You can call me whenever you need me, Ms. Higdon." She smiled, hugging him tightly. "Thank you professor Lindemann."
"Call me Till, Ms. Higdon."
The two broke the embrace.
"I'll text you later," she began. "I NEED to get some sleep." She smiled and waved good bye, and Till did the same.
"Such a sweet girl." Till chuckled to himself.
