As I continued my normal routine which consisted of waking up, heading down to Granny's diner for a cup of coffee, working my shop until late at night and every once in a while talk to Henry when he came into my shop about anything new going on around town. Not very many people enjoy my existence nor want to communicate with me. Therefore, I have always been a cold person to everyone in town except for Henry. For some strange reason he doesn't judge me or see my ugly parts. Ever since he came into my shop two years ago, I've always felt as if he reminded me of how Belle would never judge me without an explanation. Shaking my head at the thought of her, I knew she no longer was alive. As I was still in the thought process, I could faintly hear the name I haven't heard in so many years...
"Mr. Gold..? Mr. Gold.... Rumplestiltskin!"
"Huh? Oh sorry about that Henry."
"Are you thinking about Belle again?"
"Sadly yes. I can't stop thinking about her. I know she's gone and not coming back, but it's just hard to completely erase someone from my mind no matter how many potions I use."
"Yeah. I'm sorry. Have you been drinking the memory potion again?! I already reminded you the great dangers of drinking it!"
"I know. I stopped after you caught me the third time. You know, I'm glad that you know who I am and who everyone in this town is. It makes my nonexistent heart begin to soften and become warm because of you so thank you."
"Really? Well, I'm glad I can help. Now, speaking of help..."
"Oh no... What is wrong now?"
"Nothing! I just came to tell you that there is a party tonight at Granny's and I was wondering if you would like to go."
"I'd rather not because not very many people enjoy being in the same room as me. Thanks for the offer though."
"Um... You should go because it would help you out with your loneliness and you may find someone cool to talk to there besides me."
"Haha. Very funny."
"Well, you still have time to think about it. It starts at 8. Hope to see you there!"
"Alright. Thank you Henry."
And with that, he was out of the shop. I began thinking about the party and considering Henry's invite. Maybe he is right. Getting ready for the party, I thought one last thought about Belle. Maybe I do need this to get over Belle and accept the fact that she is dead and not coming back.
