You stare at the screen happily, drifting off into a daze, until you hear his voice startling you from your dream. Shaking your head, you look up, his brilliant eyes meeting yours.

"H... Hey Niall... "

You flash him a tired yet warm smile, grinning awkwardly as he lets out a chuckle.

"Did I wake you? So terribly sorry, Y/N. I should let you rest, huh?"

Cocking your head upwards, as it has begun to droop again, you look at him frantically, stuttering.

"No no no! I'm not tired... I wanna... Stay up and talk to you..."

You let out a reluctant yawn, rubbing your eyes with the back of your wrist.

"Y/N, you need to sleep. It's not healthy for you to stay up this late."

He laughs again, watching you shake your head defiantly, as if you were a stubborn three year old in the confectionery aisle of Walmart. (I don't even know what you have in Walmart I live in Australia we have Coles)

"Niall, I'm not sleeping. I wanna stay up and talk to you. That's all there is to it."

"If you won't go back to bed, I'll just hang up (or leave or whatever you do on skype)."

"Niall don't you da-"

Your words are cut off, with Niall ending the call. Groaning loudly, you slam down your laptop, walking over to your bed and falling onto it, letting out a frustrated huff. It was all good that he cared and all, but all you'd wanted to do was stay up and talk to him.

You weren't even tired, eh?

That's your last thought before drifting off, finally succumbing to the wonders of sleep.
