Splat.

I sprinted down the gritty silt. The pool in my mind was over flowing, flooding into my body, feeding it with hot coals. I was going to explode if i couldnt find shelter soon. I shot past a small, dark cave.

I spun at an impossibly crazy 180, back hooves tucked in my stomach. I spun dizzily, and fell into the cave. It was dark, darker than dark, if thats possible. My butt hit the ground, followed by the rest of myself. Soft soil caressed my body, except my neck. I felt a sharp rock peirce my lower neck, and I heard blood splat out behind me. I let out an unintentional whinny.

I was crippled, my artery severed...

My right hind legs started to go numb.

I fell into a sinister sleep.

When I woke up, I was no longer a horse, but a sheep. Alone i was, in a field of rippling green grass going as far as the eye can see. There was no fence in sight, and I felt a rush of relief.

A beautiful golden hawk suddenly swooped gracefully down from the picture perfect sky. Truly flawless, the arched wings spread out behind the body, slicing through the slight breeze. The three inch, shiny talons reached for me as the bird came to rest on my back.

"Come my child, we have business to attend to."

The bird with the silky smooth voice of a goddess clamped down on my thick wool, not harming me. Miraculosly, the large bird lifted the two of us off the plain about two feet. Her and I flew furiously fast along the tips of the grasses, the soft plants giving my dangling legs no cuts. We reached incredible speed zooming across the flat plain. We went faster and faster...

There was a blinding light. I was standing, well, wobbling, in a giant gold and brown hall. To the left and right were brightly lit corridors, doors everywhere. Ahead of me, there were five sets of doors, leading into the largest room I had ever seen. The windows were blurred, but I could tell even so.

The golden hawk, who I mentally named Zorra, was standing by the left corridor. "Come, child of God, we are here."

My shiny hooves made a click clack, click clack on the tile as I trotted to the hallway in wonder.

I strode through the hallway, glancing at each door as I passed. They were standard, brown hardwood, with silver plates above them, foreign languages inscribed on them. I am assuming they were names, saying three worded things like Meggie Diamond (تنخه), Zoey McCray (طاعج), Silver Crystal (يجكًُٰتع) Weird.

The hawk said suddenly, "Stop, my child. We have arrived."

I kept walking, unphased. Feeling dèja vu, Zorra latched onto me and swung me around. Dizzily, I stumbled and slammed my face into a door. It was the same wood as the others, but with slivers of silver woven in that made it gleam in the dim light. I glanced up. The silver plate read Lauren Lash (٥٧ذسغ).

That was my name once... right?

"Have you ever heard of God and his Angels?"

"Excuse me?"

"God is your and the whole universes creator. From the beginning of time, he has always been there. You are an Angel, and not figuratively. You have always existed to serve God and the Earth, and to protect them from evil. These creatures, Meggie, Zoey, and Silver are also Angels. They are disguised as humans with powers now, but in the Past, they have been... other creatures. On other planets. Your power is Shapeshifter. Silver is a wizard, and Zoey is a werewolf. However, some are truly special and rare. Meggie is a Guardian of the Golden Light, the very fabric of the Universe. But no need to worry about them, they are all alright."

Wait, what? What about this... God and Angels? I've always been a human whaat...? Altough maybe these are the answers to everything! I probably look so retarded thinking this over.

"Would you like to go in?"

"Very much."
