The Return

When I walked in the detention room I sat down next to the window. I showed up just before the teacher.

Just my luck the math teacher.

"Ah Doesn't surprise me your in detention, what you goof off and one of the teachers get fed up?" she said chuckling

"Nope" I said letting the P pop.

"She told off Erica, right after she punched her" he said as proud as could be when I looked over I seen Trent sitting there.

"Why the fuck are you smiling, aren't you her boyfriend?" I asked cocking my head to the side confused

"Naw, we broke up awhile ago but she doesn't do rejection well" He said laughing

I didn't reply just turned to stare out the window, time was finally in my favor and went by fast.

I met Em by the double doors, as we were walking I seen I spotted the most beautiful car ever.

A green 1968 Camaro, she was perfection. I was to busy admiring her I didn't hear some guys walk up.

"You like the car" I heard someone say I looked up to see none other than Trent and his band of dude's hanging around.

"Hell to the yes, 1968 Camaro's are rare anymore " I said they smug smiles fell right off there face they hadn't expected me to say that so I smiled

"You know cars." another one of the guys asked

"Yeah, there a problem with that" I asked smirking

"No I admire a chick with a brain for cars" said one of Trent's friends

I smiled and turned to Em and got into my jeep and started the entrance "So skating or surfing today?"

"Surfing, I want to get a tan" she said

We were off towards the house for our suits and my board.

I came out in my two piece bathing suit with my short shorts on my wet suit and board were in the garage.

We arrived at the beach within 8 minutes. While I paddled farther into the ocean, and she started tanning.

There were no waves for hours finally  decided ill try again tomorrow.

I was pulling my wet suit down as I came out of the water. I was halfway to Em.

"Ashlynne"

I gasped turned around so fast I dropped my board.

"Liam? what are you doing here?" I asked in a hurry.

"I missed you, I want you to come home." he said.

"No, that's not my home, and I don't miss you, you need to leave" I said.

That made him mad he walked up and grabbed my arms. I seen all the kids around I didn't want to cause a big scene.

"Don't speak like that baby" he said.

"Let me go" I demanded. 

"No, your mine I will never let go" he snarled.

"Is there a problem here" I heard Trent's voice.

"No, he was just leaving" I said looking at Liam

"You whore! you've only been here a day and you've already got people trying to take you from me, what did you sleep with them?" he snarled looking at Trent, as the other two guys were walking up.

"No I'm not sleeping around you Asshat and I'm not yours so take your hands off of me and go the hell away." I snapped back I was beyond pissed.

"I get it your still mad, but you'll forgive me." he said acting innocent.

"Fuck you I will never forgive you for what you did your a monster who deserves to rot in hell you bastard, let me go or your going to regret it!" I screamed.

"She said let her go," said Trent getting closer i could feel his back against me.

"This is none of your business pretty boy." he snarled.

 "Liam?" said a surprised Em as she was approaching us. 

"Emma, beautiful as ever." Liam smiled at her.

"I can see you haven't changed a bit" as she eyed Liam's hard grip on my arms.

"Whats that supposed to mean?" he asked getting angry. 

"Old habits die hard, oh and the police are on their way" she replied.

"You are going to pay for this!" he yelled as he tried to side step me

"You go anywhere near her, you won't live another day" I said into his ear.

Liam stormed away, I knew it wasn't for good and he would be back. 

"You ok?" I looked up at Trent

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks, come on Em" I scurried past him

I couldn't breathe, I was having a panic attack. I didn't want anyone to see me, so I tried to hurry to the jeep. 

As soon as we got to the jeep I could feel the tears. There was no way to stop them. Em noticed and grabbed me in a hug.

"It's ok, everything will be ok."

"No it won't history will repeat itself. I don't think I can do it all again Em." I said crying

"No It won't, we will get through this" she said

"Let's go home" she said

 When we got home I found a  pack of Iris's my favorite flowers on our back door step and there was only one person who could have sent them. I couldn't let Emma know he found were we live so I took them out to the garbage but curiosity got the best of me and I grabbed the card.

Dear Ash,

I'm sorry for what had happened between us. I have changed, Come home darling. Words can't describe how much you mean to me. I need you. I went by to see our baby boy I took him some toy cars and flowers as well.

I went to my room and cried for what felt like an eternity. Then I had to put on a poker face for Em I know she feels just as bad for what has been happening to me. But it's not her fault I have tried to tell her that but she won't listen.

I changed and showered then started on dinner. 

Me and Em ate alone as it was every night. We had chicken with mashed potatoes and some vegetables. 

We watched 'A Walk To Remember' well I did she fell asleep while we was watching it. I covered her up and went to curl up next to her. Just like when we were kids and she was scared of the storms, and dark. The couch was just big enough for us both to fit. Then I was out.
