About Two Weeks Later ,

A knock at the door woke me of my slumber. I thought to myself if I lay here an don't make a sound they will got away, the knocking started again.

I went to the door not caring I was wearing short shorts and a tank top. I was going to cut the conversation short.

"Ashlynne Keane?" said an officer

"The one and only" I said while yawning

"I'm Officer Parks, may I ask you a few questions" he said

"What about I was sleeping, it's-" I cut myself off to look at the time "Holy Shit It's 4 in the afternoon" I said shocked.

He laughed "Yes ma'am its 4 pm"

"Sorry this is the only time I get to sleep in" I said

"It ok, so how about them questions?" he asked again

"What about, and aren't there usually two officers that come to question people."

"I see you have been in trouble with the law before," he said laughing "Usually yes but since you weren't the one who reported the problem my captain only sent me, and my partner is on vacation." he replied

"I have had maybe a little run in with the police, what are these questions about, and can I see your badge please?"

"Your sister sent me she said you wanted to file for a restraining order and that you couldn't come to the station?" he said confused as he got out his badge.

The color drained from my face he must have noticed.

"You didn't know she was coming down did you ?" he asked

I shook my head

He sighed "Before I came here I looked over your records, I have seen that you had had some problems back home, have they followed you here?" he asked

I was shocked "C-come on in the living room would you like something to drink?" I asked

"No thank you," he replied "We are worried about your safety and your family safety" He said

"If your worried about our safety please go this is what is going to start it again please just go if she comes back tell her you can't help please that's the only thing that will stop this" I said urgently

"It won't stop here we have seen people like him before, it never gets easier I hate to say this but it's true, you will never truly be free and be able to stop looking over your shoulder and not worry when your family steps outside, if you don't turn him in"

"You don't understand" I replied

"Yes, we do Ashlynne Let us help"

"No you don't if you did you would be here, you being here means it could put my family in danger cause he will think I called you and all hell's going to break loose, could you please go?" I asked

"Sure but remember what I said, we can put him away for along time for what he did to you." he said

"Not what it did to me what he did to Brayden," I said as I closed the door behind him.

I watched as he pulled away,Tears already pouring down my face as I thought about everything,I thought about all the things he said, And why my sister did that. I was going to confront her. It wasn't her decision to go to them. She put herself in danger. She had been spending a lot of time next door at Trent's with the guys. Before I knew what I was doing I was out the door stomping over there.
