Ever since Eurovision 2015 I have been obsessed over the winner's song: Heroes!
I was on holiday in Blackpool with story_eyed, my granddad and my Nana and we were all sitting in the hotel room with cups of tea while either:
A) Snuggled up in bed,
B) dancing to the country's song or
C) sitting on the balcony looking at the glowing lights on the Pier opposite us and when it was Sweden's turn... I fell in love! I couldn't stop singing it and when we found out it won we were happy, yet sad because we didn't win. In my opinion it was the best song in the whole show!
Hours after it had finished, I found myself mumbling it to myself while trying to go to sleep.
The next day was AWFUL! Everyone in the whole restaurant was singing it or talking about it! And when we went outside (SHOCKER) I still heard it being played! So me and my sister were sat having a meal at a nice, little café, we found ourselves singing it and that is when it sparked my obsession!
I love the lyrics because it is true! "We are the heroes of out time, but, were dancing with the demons in our mind" suggest that when we are trying to be the good guy, there will always be the bad thoughts stopping us from doing so! So don't let those "Demons" drag you down and stop you from doing things that you want to do! Think of this song if you can't, I always do and it helps me!
