Wait and See

           "Bye mom i'm going to my Belle's house!" I shouted to my mom who was upstairs. "Okay bye! I love you!" My mom shouted to me. I ran out the door and shut it behind me. I hopped into my car and drove over even though she was in walking distance. I'm not lazy or anything it's just that i'm so excited that I can drive now and i'm only seventeen. I parked my car on the side in her big driveway and hopped out and ran to her door. She opened her door and I didn't even have to knock. I walked inside and followed her to her basement. Her whole family was down there. Her older brother, her younger sister and her parents all down there sitting on the couch watching the news. "What's going on?" Belle asked. I guess she knew no more than I did. "Something is going on." Her brother Derek said mocking her. "Tell me! What is it?" Belle asked a little more frustrated. "A disease is spreading rapidly." Her dad said while looking at the TV. "It can't be that bad can it?" I asked. "Oh it's bad. It's like a plage." Her dad said to me. Her mom saw that I looked concerned. "Are we going to die!" Belle said in a nervous tone. "Honey we are just going to have to wait and see." Her mom told her. "For now we are staying indoors and not let anyone in." Her dad told everyone. Belle looked at me and turned back to her family. "What about Olympia?" Belle asked in a concerned tone. Her mom looked at me and said "Go back home and gather all the food you can and bring your family here." "I'll come with her." Belle said. "I will help too. Anna you stay with the rest of the kids." her dad said to her mom. Her mom nodded and I followed Belle and her dad followed both of us to Belle's dad's pickup truck. We hopped in the back and her dad drove over to my house.                                                                                               My mom and my dad came out on the porch when the saw the truck pull in. Me and Belle ran past my parents and inside and grabbed all started to grab food. Once we grabbed a ton we came out and dropped it into the back of the truck. I guess my parents just found out about the disease because they understood what we were doing and they understood what Belle's dad was saying. Me and Belle ran back inside to get more food and my mom followed us and ran upstairs to get my little brother. Me and Belle ran out again dropped the rest of the food and ran inside again. We went separate ways. Belle went into the kitchen and I ran upstairs. I went to my room and grabbed the most important things. I grabbed my phone, charger, my stuffed animals I had as a baby, a rosary, my cross, and a note I had since the 1st grade that my dad wrote to me. I walked out the room and saw my mom grab a few picture books and everything important we had.                                                                                                                                                                                                       Once we were done we all gathered outside. It made me sad when I saw my little 4 year old brother walk out the house holding my mom's hand wearing a little blue backpack and holding his favorite elephant stuffed animal. I had hope inside me. The disease might not spread to us and we probably won't even get infected. We just have to wait and see.
