I slept great that night in a comfy bed with my brother. We were in a what looked to be a art room. There were six other bunkbeds with other families sharing them. Belle and her sister were above us. Her brother and parents were across with her parents on the bottom and brother on the top. That morning I was awoken by Belle and we noticed that her family, and by my brother had already gotten up and the room was empty. The morning sunlight shined through the windows making it bright in the room. Me and Belle walked together the the girls bathroom to get ready there. We saw some other girls our age there. They didn't seem to talkative so we let them be. After we got dressed and ready we walked downstairs and through the hall to go outside. No one was outside when we went out there so we asked someone who walked by if they would know where they are. "Everyone is the cafeteria having breakfast. They only serve food outside if it is a nice day." The man said.
It did look like it was going to rain after all. Me and Belle were not sure where the cafeteria was so it took us a while to find it. We found it by the chattering among the people in there. We entered it and waited in line to get food. They served us half an apple each, some milk, and a small portion of eggs. I remember seeing a place for animals that were used to make food. The apples must have come from the garden area where there must have been apple trees. We walked through all the people to get to Belle's family and my brother. We sat down with them and they were at a round table. After a while when we finished eating we all kind of seprated to do our own thing. Belle watched my brother and her sister play outside and her brother hung out with some boys. I walked down the hall for a while and went to the art room where we were staying. No one was in there so I grabbed some paint and a canvass. I put the canvass on a stand on the table in front of the window. I painted my house so I wouldn't forget what it looks like. It took four hours and I didn't realize it took that long. It was sunset now and the sky was pink. I looked for a quiet and empty room so I walked around searching for one. I finally found one in the basement. It was creepy but empty and quiet. I wanted to pray and meditate. It wasn't a catholic school so there wasn't any church nearby so I guess this was the best I could get. I took a rosary out of my pocket and began to pray. When I was done praying the rosary I began to meditate. It was easy because it was so dark. I began to image heaven and the world when it was normal. I got interrupted by an awful squeal. It startled me and I wasn't sure if it was in my head or not. I sat still for a bit until I heard it again. I shot up from fear so I turned to the stairs. It scared me because it sounded like a person I heard it get closer so I froze so it couldn't hear me. I moved my hand around searching for some sort of weapon to use. I felt something heavy so I grabbed it. I tried to tiptoe to the stairs but it was so hard to see. I waved my arms around to guide me. I touched the wall and searched it with my hands. I felt the light switch so I held the weapon tight being ready and I flicked the switch on. It was one of the infected that was making the noise. It looked like she used to be a cheerleader. She had a cheer uniform on. She limped over to me making that awful squeal noise. When she got close enough I hit her in he head with the piece of medal I grabbed. She feel to the ground so grabbed a sharp piece of medal and stabbed her in the chest leaving her dead. I ran toward the stairs and up it. I locked the door behind me. I ran around looking for one of the people who ran this place to report it. I finally ran into someone.
"Sir, I found one of the infected downstairs." I told the man
"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" He asked.
"No sir, I was able to kill it." I informed him.
"Okay we will check it out. Now go to the nurse to get checks for bites." He told me.
"Yes sir." I said.
I went to the nurse and the nurse checked me. I was okay of course so I went to find Bella to tell her about it. I headed through the hall and I thought that I probably shouldn't say anything about to make sure no one worries about it. I just went back to the room and slept the rest of the day away until dinner.
