I looked out of the black tinted glass windows. As I did I saw the last glimpse of the beautiful, tiny house that we have lived in since Lexi was born, that was when she was cute I thought as I chuckled to myself.

Since we had a 30 minute journey to Manchester Airport I thought I would doze off since I was comfortable and Lexi was busy on her Iphone 5s and Alex was engrossed in his colouring book. I closed my eyes to go to sleep, when I awoke suddenly. Alex was poking me in the arm and singing"Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet"over and over again whilst shaking his head in time.

"No Alex we're not honey" I said sleepily, I looked at my dark red Rolex watch "We have 20 more minutes yet.Why don't we play eye spy?" I suggested.

"Yeah,Yeah,Yeah"he sung "I spy with my little eye something beginning with T."

"tree" I suggested

"No" he replied

"Erm,taxi" I guessed

"NO!" he screamed

"I give up" I said "what was it?"

"Traffic" he replied

"What! where?" I yelled

"In front of us" he answered

"Ahhhh" I screamed

I felt like a child Alex's age.

I was about to ask where is the traffic but we knew we were stuck in the middle of it when I could hear the noisy cars on the M56 going BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! every two seconds.

"Erm,driver how far are we away from the airport" I asked

"We are 10 minutes away from the airport but with all the traffic, we will be 30 minutes" he replied

"Ok we will still be there in time, that's ok" I said.

I folded my arms and got comfortable. I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I awoke by a siren going past the taxi, I looked up and saw a red and blue siren flashing right into my eyes

"Ouch that hurt" I squealed

"What's wrong mummy" asked Alex

"Oh nothing, just woken up and I saw a bright light.Thats all" I replied.

"how far do we have till we get to the airport?"I asked

"5 minutes" he replied

I looked again at my watch and sighed with relief, we are going to be on time.
