"Alright, first years! You may now proceed!"
All of the first years lined up one by one in Attack Junior High's very own track field. Today was just a typical Wednesday and it turns out that this day would be the day where us, first year students, are going to play dodgeball against third year students. Oh joy.
"Oh no! We are totally going to screw up!", cried Connie as he started to get worried.
"Aww, come on! We kicked those second year's butts! What's there to worry about, Connie?", Sasha replied and reassured Connie by patting his back.
"Face reality, Sasha! All the third years are going to kick our butts! They're bigger than us and not to mention they have Levi with them!", Connie retorted.
Sasha flinched including myself, listening to their conversation while stretching with Mikasa, upon hearing Levi's name.
"L-Levi? Oh yeah, what was I thinking?! Sorry, I guess our victory from our past game really outdid me like this, h-hehe", said Sasha laughing nervously.
Connie shook his head and face palmed at the same time, "You don't say, Sasha?".
I kinda agree on Sasha on that notion.
I feel really determined that we might beat the third years but that was my first thought because apparently, I totally forgot the fact they have Levi so I'm pretty sure this game will be a game that will never make us forget.
I don't know what to expect but let's just see what they got with their trump card.
I sighed softly with a bit of concern just by thinking how this game will turn up to be but those thoughts faded away when I saw group of third years coming this way and my eyes were immediately direct at Levi's appearance and it was...really something if you ask me.
He was wearing his P.E uniform and he's shouldered his white fluffy towel like a boss (while watching this moment, I could definitely imagine him wearing dark shades while walking that way).
"Woohoo!! Why hello there, first years!", said Hanji out of all the third year students, "Let's wish ourselves a good game and good luck! Let the best class win".
Eren, out of nowhere, fist pumped the air with determination while his eyes were somewhat hungry for victory.
"Oh you bet we are, Hanji-senpai. Let's see who takes the game because we are sooooo in!!", said Eren confidently and stretched.
Levi raised a brow from watching Eren's enthusiasm while Hanji, on the other hand, was giggling like a crazy scientist (oh wait, she is).
"Hahaha! You're like a burning flame, Eren. Oh ho ho ho, this is so going to be fun. Am I right, Levi?", said Hanji as she nudged Levi's arm which he find it very annoying.
He clicked his tongue and shove Hanji away from him - not in a rough way - and said, "This ought to be interesting. I don't know how you managed to beat the second years but mark my words, first years...".
All of the first years including myself looked at him and one moment he was giving out an aura but the second was that he gave us some sort of determined look with a frown knitting his eyebrows.
"...do NOT underestimate us, got that?", Levi finished as he took of his PE red jacket leaving his white PE shirt on and began to crack his knuckles.
My friends froze at Levi's finishing sentence and Jean, for some reason, was knocked out cold from Levi's intimidation and Marco was trying to wake him up like there's no tomorrow.
Sweat began to fall down my forehead but I didn't feel nervous at all. Okay, maybe a little bit judging by the goosebumps forming on my arms but still.
"First years!! Let's practice while we can!"
Us, first years, gathered up and done stretches while the rest strategize our own game against the third years.
"One, two, three..."
Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, Ymir, Krista and I stretched while counting continuously in sync.
While stretching, my eyes were pretty bored on looking at the same view I'm looking at so I decided to let eyes wander around a bit.
I looked to the other side of the field and saw Levi stretching, alone while some of his classmates are strategizing.
I began to look at him from top to bottom and I gotta admit that he has a GOOD built. No wonder he knocked out a titan with just one hit. He must've trained a lot or something or better yet, exercised everyday at home or in the gym probably? Who knows.
I sighed and thought, 'Wow, for one intimidating, stoic-looking, and strong third year, he's actually-'
"Heeeyy, shorty"
I heard Hanji calling out to Levi as she playfully stuck out her tongue on Levi with a paper on her hands.
"Tch, quit calling me that, Hanji!", Levi retorted and tried to chase her around the field with an annoying expression written on his face.
'Sigh, right, he's shorter than all of the boys I guess but he's an inch taller than me', I thought as I did my jumping jacks with Krista by my side, 'Hmm, I also notice something about him too. Ever since I became his friend about a week ago, I seemed to stare at him and stealing glances from him frequently. I don't know why but for some reason, I can't help but find him attractive-'
My thoughts were cut off when something hit me right in the head and immediately, when back to reality and said, "Ow!".
I looked to see Connie in a nervous state and said, "I'm sorry, (Y/N)!! I was trying to hit Sasha not you, I swear!"
I told him it's alright and before I could lay my eyes on Levi again, I soon realized he was now gazing at me in return. He didn't looked annoyed at all but actually he looked...normal. Almost normal that I don't know what he's thinking right now. Unless...
'Oh no, he noticed I was checking him out?'
Without a doubt, I quickly looked away with an embarrassed expression and continued exercising with the other first years hoping this would get my mind out of things.
