It was a regular Monday morning. It was approximately 5:30 AM, and you were getting your usual morning Starbucks before heading to the office.

"A venti (Y/F/D), please." you told the worker, and began reach for your money.

The worker tapped a few things on the screen, then said, "That'll be $8.23,"

You searched through your expensive Michael Kors purse for your wallet, but your hand found nothing but your phone and paperwork.

"Sh*t." you mumbled under your breath. You had left it at your apartment.

You scratched your head nervously. If you didn't pay, you would definitely be-- punished somehow.

"Umm--I don't have my wallet with me," you told the cashier.

She didn't look pleased. "Well, unless anyone else here is willing to pay for you, I don't know what to tell you. But you're holding up the line," she snapped.

Sigh. You hated people that hated their jobs. They always take it out on the customer.

You glanced hopefully at the line behind you. Everyone was dressed nicely, like you. They were tired and irritated. Waiting for their morning coffee impatiently, not wanting to get to work late.

It didn't look like anyone was selfless enough to help you.

"Would anyone be willing to pay for this lady that forgot her wallet?" the cashier announced blandly to the customers.

Everyone shuffled awkwardly, glancing at one another as if it wasn't their job to help. Eventually, nobody said or did anything. You sighed.

The thing was, you would've paid for someone who'd forgotten their wallet like you did. You were always one to help, no matter the mood you were in, or the situation.

After standing in several moments of silence, you began to give up. Until...

"I'll pay for her, Sherry."

You turned abruptly to the voice. It was a guy who looked about your age, had luscious black locks, and the most beautiful blue eyes you had ever seen.

Sherry sighed in relief and took the card from him. You faced the cute guy.

"Oh my God, thank you so much! You do not know how much this means to me." you said to him.

"It's no biggie," he chuckled. His smile was adorable. "Just by looking at you I can tell that you'd do the same for someone else."

You nodded and blushed at that. It was sweet.

"I'm Dick." the mysterious boy held out his hand, and you took it.

Dick was an odd name. But he probably was bullied by it 24/7, so you kept quiet. Poor thing. He didn't deserve to be in this horrible world.

"(Y/N)," you replied.

He smiled, "That's a beautiful name,"

Your cheeks were hot. If you didn't have somewhere to be, you would've stayed forever. Maybe have gotten to know this cute guy better, spend some time.

He was mesmerizing. His eyes were like an ocean on bright summer day. His smile made your worries disappear, and his laugh gave you butterflies.

"A venti (Y/F/D)?"

Crap, your drink.

"I'm so sorry, I've gotta go. I have work." you said to Dick regretfully. You grabbed your cup'o'Joe.

"It's fine, I have work too."

"You do? Where do you work?" you inquired, sipping your fresh coffee.

"Wayne Industries, you?"

You stopped sipping and nearly dropped your cup. "That's where I work!!"

"So not whelmed," you thought you heard Dick say.

"Wait, what?" you laughed, as you two began walking across the street to the building you both worked at.

He sipped his drink, "Whelmed," he said.

You giggled, "Oh, like overwhelmed and underwhelmed."

"Yeah. If overwhelmed is when you're given too much of something, underwhelmed means unimpressed, whelmed must mean you're..."

"TRAUGHT!" you exclaimed.

Dick froze. He looked at you with so much excitement and happiness you could say he was chalant.

He wrapped his muscular arms around your waist and pulled you into a warm hug. "Man, you're the first person I've met that understands me so well,"

You smiled into his shoulder, "Well, I hope I'm the last,"
