As the figure climbed out of the water I look at its face.....it's the neighbor next door. I just stay still.
He looks at me and say " I told you NOT TO WALK IN THESE WOODS!!" I panic I don't know what to do!!! Next thing I know I see him pulling out an ax behind him he holds it in the air above my head..." I just dident know what to do... other then think..this is it. I'm done. So much regret builds up...then he lowers the ax...I just stair at him wondering why he lowered it and why he wanted to kill me about going in the woods. Then I hear something far from us in the dark cave. It's in the shadows.
The neighbor say....it's here!!!. He starts panicing and about to jump in the water...then I wondered how he came through the water? Then I realized- this is a cave- at the bottem of the lake...but how can that be wen that thing from last time pulled me under and we where at the bottem?...I dident have much time to think before next thing I know I hear the guy screaming from the shadows......then silence...I hear a light scratchy voice say....go- go through the water- he won't bother you. Now that he's in here with me. go!!!......I stair at the water and jump in while holding my breath.....I run out of breath and pass out... I wake up outside on a pinn needle floor by the lake that I was just in. Without thinking I got up and walked away.. I walked so far I couldent see the lake. Next thing I knew I'm in my backyard...home...then I see a bunch of police cars by my "used to be" neighbors house. I dident really care so I walked inside dripping wet from the lake. I saw police officers inside the house. I dident know what was going on.... my mom was sitting at the table and looked over at me with tears in her eyes.
She tells me she's been looking for me. For weeks now and the neighbor has gone missing. I dident know what to say...I feel her up against me with a big hug. I just think that...how can that be? I've only been in there for a few hours? Maybe I've been asleep for that long!?!...but how can that be wen the last time I walked in the woods. Time dident fly by like that? I dident really care. I was just glad I was home. And away from everything in those woods. I'm glad I'm with my mother and alive. I'm never going to go in thoes woods again.
Next morning-
I was takeing off my clothes to take a shower and wen I got in.. I noticed a cut. A BIG cut on my stomach.
