Elmer Gantry was drunk. He was drunk at the party and he was drunk at school. He got drunk before he went anywhere and he didn't mind. His morning routine was a shot of vodka with a chaser...of vodka. Elmer Gantry was drunk. But it was okay. He never did anything that was detrimental to others or illegal except underage drinking. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he was playing football and at his dad's funeral. Elmer Gantry was okay though his liver would be sick one day, but he was okay. Elmer Gantry was drunk. But that's okay. He's a boy and he's drunk. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he hit his mom and smashed the mailbox with his Range Rover. But his mom never said anything other than she fell in the kitchen and his car slipped on some ice. Elmer Gantry was drunk at the party. No one thought anything of it because everyone was. Except me. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he wrenched his big ugly hand around my neck. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he slurred together the words "shut up". Elmer Gantry was drunk when he gripped at my breast. Elmer Gantry was drunk when I wasn't. Elmer Gantry was drunk when screamed louder than the music. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he slammed my head into the wall and slapped me "I thought I told you to SHUT UP". I screamed again out of pain and fear. Then everything went silent. Everything except the small zipper of my jeans and them being ripped off of me. He pulled off his gym shorts. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he abused me and changed my life forever. Elmer Gantry was drunk when he raped me.
