CHAPTER 10: THE JOB

♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡

I'm so glad Meliodas have his memories back. Suddenly, my sister Veronica called me. She entered my room.

"Hey there, little sis," Veronica said.

"Oh, hi. What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing, I just wanna hang out with my little sister," she said.

"You're so sweet!" I said out loud.

"S-stop that!" She replied. We laughed.

"Sis, I'm going to look for a part-time job, is that okay with you?" I asked.

"Yeah, but why?" She asked.

"Well, I want to save some money," I said.

"For what?" She asked.

"I don't know yet. For an example, I want to buy a headphone, I can use the money I save and buy that headphone," I explained.

"Okay, but, what job?" She replied.

"I heard there is a new cafe near the anime book store. I will be a waitress," I said.

"Okay, you have to apply there, now," She said.

"Yeah, I'll get ready now," I said. Then, I wore a black skirt and pink blouse. I wore a long white socks that reached above my knees. I wore black flat shoes.

"I'm going now. Tell this to Sister Margaret, okay?" I said.

"Yeah, sure thing," she replied. Then, I went to the new opened cafe. After 5 minutes walking, I'm now at the cafe. The manager interviewed me. Then, after a couple of minutes, they hired me. I'll start working next week.

They gave me my waitress uniform. It's more like a maid uniform. I liked it. The dress was reaching above my knees. A little apron on the skirt. The high socks are reaching above my knees and white flat shoes. It is so cute!!!

I took a picture of myself wearing that. I posted it on Facebook.

"Thanks for hiring me. I'll do my best!" I said again to the manager. He then smiled.

"I hope to see you next week," He said. I nodded and left the cafe. I went home. When I was walking, I was in front of Meliodas' house. I heard the door slammed. I looked at Meliodas' door. I saw Liz. She has an angry face. I decided to greet her.

"Oh, Good-" I was cut off when she said something.

"There is no good in the afternoon! Because of you, Meliodas and I broke up! I just hope his memories didn't came back! Remember this, I will not lose. Meliodas is mine," she said then, she pushed me until I hit the ground.

"Ouch!" I screamed in pain in my back. I rubbed my back.

※MELIODAS' POV※

I was staring at Elizabeth's picture, when I heard a familiar voice screamed.

"Ouch!" Elizabeth yelled. I got worried. I went outside. I saw Elizabeth sitting on the ground while Liz is standing in front of her.

"Elizabeth!" I called.

"M-Meliodas?" Liz said.

"Liz, what do you think you're doing to Elizabeth?!" I asked.

"I-uh," Liz said.

"Meliodas, it's okay. Don't w-worry about it," Elizabeth said with her sweet voice. I can see her tears in her eyes. She made a smile. I know it is a fake one. She tried to hide it. I went to Elizabeth. I heard Liz said 'tch' and she walked away.

"Elizabeth, don't cry," I comforted her with hugs. She let her tears streamed her.

"I... just... don't... understand... why she... hate... me," Elizabeth said. I looked at her and I smiled at her.

"Well, Liz and I actually broke up," I said.

"You guys what?" She said.

"That explains a lot. So, that's why she hate me. It's my... fault, after all," Elizabeth said and she looked down. She started crying again.

"It's my... fault," She said. Why does she keep blaming herself?

"It's not your fault, Elizabeth. It's my decision. I loved you more than Liz," I said.

"Are... you sure?" She asked looking to me. She's very adorable.

"Yeah. So, Elizabeth. I saw your picture wearing a maid uniform, are you doing a part-time job?" I asked. She wiped her tears.

"Yeah, I look ridiculous, aren't I?" She asked.

"Nope, you look cuter than anyone else!" I said and gave her a smile. She blushed.

"Thank you," she said.

Then, we started laughing. I'm so happy. She's very kind. She tries to cover Liz when I asked Liz what she have done to Elizabeth. I love her so much,

»»THIRD PERSON'S POV««

Oh... so that's how Elizabeth got a job. Liz done something horrible to Elizabeth. Good thing Meliodas saw it. Because if he wasn't there, something bad might happen to Elizabeth.
