Káno pov

I blink awake and try to sit up, but a hand pushes me back down,"Careful there K."

"D-Derek is that you?" I ask.

"Yeah man it's me." He said nervously.

"What happened, my head feels as if it's been run over by a truck." I say as I rubbed my head.

"That's common after you use your powers for the first time." Derek said.

"What do you mean-," I didn't get to finish that statement when suddenly a loud booming voice that made wherever I was quake said, "I know you shelter the one whom I seek, give him to me and I may spare your life satyr!"

"Damn! They found us faster than I thought." Derek said as he peeked out a window, them looked back at me,"We don't have much time, but you'll have to trust me and what I'm about to say. Okay?"

"A-alright..." I stuttered

"To make a long story short the Greek gods and goddesses are real, and so are the legends and monsters from that time. You just happen to be a child of one of their affairs with a mortal. I'm what is called a searcher, we go and seek out the gods and goddesses children and bring them back to a war encampment to train and hone their skills." Derek said quickly while trying to keep tract of whatever was outside.

'What the hell is he talking about, I know I promised to believe him, but this is to out there.' I thought.

As if reading my mind, Derek said,"Right now you're probably doubting me and think I'm  cray cray. So here's some proof," He said taking off his shoes and then his pants.

"Come on man, no way I'm going to look at you strip. I don't swing that way!" I shout as I cover my eyes.

"Shut it!" Derek whispered, right as a car came flying through the window above us.

In the chaos of scrambling away from the door, I saw what Derek tried to show me,"You're half barn animal!" I yell.

"GOAT! I'm half goat, a satyr." Derek said in an annoyed voice.

Just then a giant shadow slowly grew through the opening, 'Whatever that thing is," I thought,"it's enormous.'
