It was Jared.

He curiously inspected the bag, as if trying to know to whom it belongs to just by looking at it on the outside. Then, he zipped open my bag and peered inside. He looked for any possible identification when he suddenly picked out a small dark blue notebook.

He flipped through it then read something inside. His eyes widened as he skimmed the pages. "This belongs to Felicity. Its her diary!" I froze, my face becoming tomato red.

He scanned some more pages, until he reached a certain page which I guessed to be the present page. "Hm... '...there is one guy I had my eyes on. I think he's a gangster in secret.' " he laughed heartily, which made me more and more embarrassed.

All this time I was peeking from my bag's pocket, waiting for him to go away. But I couldnt stand it anymore. My secrets will be out either way!

Suddenly, I felt a surge of energy run within me. I jumped up, landing on Jared's head. "What the-?" Instictively, he grabbed whatever had landed on his head. Which meant me. When his eyes landed on me, he screamed.

"Augh!!!" I felt myself thrown inside my duffel bag, being squished by my notebooks. He breathed heavily, quite in shock.

"What...on earth...?" Suddenly, he realized that he just saw a tiny, extraordinary object and mindlessly threw it inside his best friend's bag.

"Oh my god." He reached inside, searching around for me. I tried to evade his hand, but because of the minimal space, I was soon caught in his palm. He stared at me hard for a moment, as if trying to know who I was. "Oh my god. Oh my god oh my god..." he kept saying over and over.

I tried to move my arms, but I realized that my whole body and arms, except for my head, was wrapped inside his palm. Trying to keep calm, I waited for his response.

"I-s that you, Felt?" He said carefully. I felt frustrated at the fact that I was tiny as a person's whole hand and trapped in a sweaty palm.

"Of course it's me, stupid." I snapped. His face filled with fear. He tried to speak, but no sound came out of his mouth, except a tiny squeak maybe.

Finally he gathered his courage to speak. "Why are you so... small?" He sat cross-legged and set me down on the floor. I stared at him blankly, not knowing what to say.

"I don't know. I just woke up like this." He still stared at me. "I'm not dangerous though."

He nodded, then took out a notebook from his bag. He started sketching for awhile, and time to time lifting his head to look at me. I grew a bit impatient with his actions.

Finally, he stopped drawing and showed it to me. I stared at it in awe. On that simple piece of paper was a drawing of me, in some dress and releasing an amount of power on some weird creature. "What is this?"

"I saw it in my dreams. You were really small, and in a black and white dress, fighting some gruesome monster with me unconcious." He shrugged. "I drew it because I think it means something." I looked at him disbelievingly.

"How do you know its true? Its just a dream, right?" I asked.

He thought for a moment, then said; "Some old lady I consulted told me that this will come true. She also said that she came from somewhere and was looking for something red." He shrugged. "She said that one day you will touch some stone and be caught in the middle of something extraordinary."

I laughed nervously, knowing it was true. "I-It really is true..."

Jared looked at me. "Well, what are you going to do know? I'm just an ordinary kid."

We were in silence for more than 3 minutes. I felt the awkwardness creeping up a bit when he suddenly jumped up.

"I know! You can live with me as we try to look for that old woman." He smiled.

"That's a great idea!" Then, my face saddened a bit. "But what about my mom? I dont want her to know about this."

Grinning, Jared said not to worry. "I'll tell her that you are needed for an important all-month project. Well, it is true anyway."

I nodded. "Alright. Make sure you hide me from the others."

"Okay. Now let's go!" I jumped high up, with no idea how but glad about it, on his hand and he put me inside his surprisingly comfortable jacket pocket. Grabbing our things, he went downstairs, and hopped onto his bike when we reached the parking area.

"Thanks alot, Jared."

He grinned as we headed for his apartment.</p>
