It's strange to realize that you dont know whats going on in other people's heads, but i understand it, because no one knows what's going on in mine. It's almost scary; how easily deception could be. Everyone you know could be fooling you, and you would have no way of knowing. That's the hard thing, we have to trust people blindly based on their word. Never knowing if they are going to keep it.

Geesse Jade way to psych yourself out on your first day at a new school. With a shake of my head i pull into the parking lot of my new school. I really need to try and think more positively. I park my motorcycle in the first open spot i see and cut the engine. Okay, deep breaths Jade you'll be fine. I can already feel stares on my back as i remove my helmet and smooth my dark brown hair that goes a few inches past my shoulders. I finish gathering my things and turn around to see i was right, there are a bunch of people staring at me. "Great, great, great." i mutter to myself. I'm not a fan of attention. In fact i hate it.

I walk fast into the school in order to get away from the eyes. I find the office with ease and collect my schedule. Heading to my locker i sigh in relief seeing i have an off period to end my day with. Right now i should be heading off too... i look down at my schedule... AP Language Arts. Okay, looking at the clock i think i should have enough time to stop by my locker.

I find locker 218 pretty easily. Shrugging off my shoulder bag i put away my thinks and decide i should probably bring a notebook, and my pencil case. Besides that i don't think there's anything i'll need. I shove my phone and earbuds into my pocket before looking for my classroom. Hmm... where could it be i wonder. I guess i've taken a bit longer than i thought because before i know it the bell goes off. Shoot. I start to panic a little bit, i'm already late on my first day isn't that just awesome.

As if by a miracle i finally find my classroom a good five minutes later. I'm about to open the door but i pause taking a second to mentally prepare myself for the awkward entrance i'm no doubt about to make. Opening the door slowly all eyes suddenly turn to me. A man stands at the front of the classroom writing on the board, presumably the teacher. He turns to me and smiles warmly. "Ah, you must be the new student. I'm your teacher Mr. Lane." he greets while sticking out a hand for me to shake. I take it and shake his hand while saying, " it's nice to meet you sir. I'm Jade Rivers." "great" he replies and tells me to take any empty seat. I see three empty seats. One is in front between a girl with glasses and another girl who looks like she is gonna fall asleep soon. Another is by the window near the back. I notice the last one by a guy who is currently looking me up and down while smirking. When he catches my eye he winks at me. I scrunch up my nose in disgust. Obviously i chose to sit by the window. But the surprised look of the guys face made a slight smirk appear on my own face. Did he seriously think i wanted to sit by him? I mean he was cute sure but anyone could tell he was clearly full of himself.

Mr. Lane starts to talk about the next book we will be reading in class and i find myself zoning out a little bit. Before i know it it's time for next period. I decided to ask Mr.Lane for any work i need to catch up on. After i grab my stuff i find that i'm rushing to get to my next class, AP psychology.

..............................

I already know i'm going to love the AP Psychology teacher Mrs.Barnes. She seems like so much fun. And the most relieving thing happened in that class. I actually made a friend! I'm not the most sociable person so it was a really big deal to me. Her name is Marissa Frank.. And FRANKly, she was really nice. Sorry couldn't help myself. Mrs. Barnes had let us do whatever for the last 20 minutes of class so she could get some grading done and i happened to notice that Marissa was reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. That just so happens to be one of my absolute favorites so we got to talking about it, and then about other books and other things and before i knew it she was inviting me to sit with her and her friends at lunch. Of course i said yes.
