Fire and Ice Pt-13

What! I'm actually updating on my update day? Woah!

Also I didn't realize this when I uploaded the last chapter but this story is almost over :( It seems like just yesterday I was coming up with this idea holy crap.

Anyway, enjoy the story

Mari P.O.V.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked Sohinki right before we were about to burst into the room and finally face this stupid demon thing.

"Nope." And with that we burst through the doors and all you could see was fire and ice explosions. Just a mess of red and blue. I looked over to the others that were thankfully okay. Lasercorn, Anthony, Ian and Joven were all sitting against the wall, shocked, but nonetheless alright. I looked back to the demon with newfound confidence, there was a lot riding on this but I knew I could do it. I had to do it.

"Thank you for finally showing up to your doom. You're friends would thank you for keeping them in here for days except after today, you won't really be around to hear that."

It fired a pair of fireballs at us at moments after. I quickly froze it, extinguishing the flame while Sohinki grabbed the fire in his hands and sent it back to the demon.

I shot an ice beam at it as Sohinki made and increased the size of his fireball. The demon didn't wait to fight back though. It knocked Sohinki back at the flick of his hand and he landed against the wall. In defense of my ice, he just used fire to melt it all. We continued to go back and forth and we realized that we were just getting our asses kicked.

Sohinki and I got knocked back into the wall for what seemed to be the millionth time. As I attempted to get back to my feet, my hand grabbed his hand in the process. The familiar sparks occurred but this time I knew what to do with them. I pulled Sohinki to his feet, and with his hand still in mine, raised our hand and shot another ice beam. Sohinki seemed confused at first but then understood what to do. He followed suit by sending fire. The two combined turned into this giant ray of...I don't even know how to describe it. It was our powers, complete opposites, binding together to destroy our enemy. The blue and red eruptions began again. It also seemed to be doing some damage.

I could tell we were close. I was beginning to feel tired, but I focused on powers and putting as much force as I could into it. I felt we were nearing the end but that's when everything stopped going smoothly.

I felt something hit my head and I fell over. I hit the floor with a thud and my world went black with the last thing I saw being Sohinki's terrified face.

Lasercorn P.O.V.

They were dealing some great damage to that demon thing. Then I saw it raise its finger and move it sideways. I tried to warn the both of them but the words got caught in my throat. The remaints of a table were thrown directly at Mari's head.

Sohinki stopped what he was doing and rushed to Mari's side. The demon smirked as he was doing so.

"Mari?" I heard him whisper sadness in his eyes as her knealt beside her lifeless body. He turned around to face demon, still smirking. He stood up and the sadness was replaced by anger. And if you thought Sohinki was angry when he lost a video game or when he slapped Joven, this was a whole other level. He was full of rage. His entire body lit on fire, like a human torch, and then he spoke three words.

"Go to hell."

The only thing visible after that was a mixture of reds and oranges across the room. There might have been other things but I closed my eyes to prevent myself from going blind. When I reopened them, I saw a few remaining flames but no demon. As I kept scanning the room, I also saw Sohinki kneeling on the ground once again, holding Mari's limp form in his arms. A tear made it's way down his cheek as he sat there in the ruins of what had happened over the past few days.

Sorry it's a bit short. I thought this would be a better stopping point than continuing on. Did you feel the feels though?
