The prime coloured stained window reflected its glass on to the splintered floor. Ethel’s mum sat on the window seal, inviting her daughter over with hand gestures, which Ethel didn’t realize what they meant, until a couple of seconds later. Ethel walked at snail’s pace treading on the floor as subtlety as she could, as if she was creeping around careful not to wake someone up. As she wandered to her mother, she noticed a small chest in her worn out hands, Ethel, who was interested in antiques decided to come closer and sit on the paint chipped window seal. Her eyes peered onto the miscellaneous things that were placed in the chest, as her mum examined all the bits and bobs. Inside there were many different things; photos, jewellery and pieces of fabric.

Immediatly Ethel noticed her mum printed on to the gloss-lost photo when she was in her teenage years. In the picture Ethels mother is accompanied with her father, Ethel's grandfather. After a long stare at the picture the scilence broke when her mother asked:
"Is this the man that came to you?"
Ethel squinted her tired eyes and examined the man' features. She shook her head.
"Did he at least look like this?" Ethels mother said in a caring voice
Ethel at the man again and just when her mother was giving up hope she nodded, confused. The picture was setted in a open park prehaps mid-autumn as the leaves of the trees were already falling on to the busy steets and pavements. The cars as well as the people were hustling through the streets as the sun was gradually being covered by clouds as if there was a storm rising on to the city. Ethel was amazed at how much detail a photo or picture can give. Ethel visulized the aspects of the photo it was as she was seeing a moving scene. Observing the posture of her grandfather she discovered that he was not at all smiling in the delight that his photo was being taken but was focused on his pocket watch that he had took out of his blazer examining what was thought to be the current time.
"This is grandpa, right?" Ethel asked in a very un-convinced voice.
"Yeah, thats my father, why do you ask?"
"I mean, he is simmilar...no...but....its...I don't know!" Ethel stuterred
At that moment she slid another picture in to her daughters cold hands. Again Ethel looked and stared at the figure. 'That was him. Yes.No.Yes.It has to be.' she thought. Because Ethel didn't get a very good look at the ghost's face she never remembered his feautures well, but what made her think that this was the same person was that he was holding the same book.
