Nikki POV. I have been running in this forest for about 6 hours and since I haven't shifted you could say this is a challenge. I am tired,hungry and exhausted,I have crossed many pack boundaries ,well not before being chase. And then suddenly I heard a snap ,maybe it's the wind I thought , then I heard it again but before I could comprehend someone hit me with a tree branch and I was knocked out cold.

I have been watching her and since her mate rejected , watching her heartbroken and fragile makes she look so vulnerable. I was following her into the forest, when I stepped on a twig even though she not a werewolf she has great hearing probably from her demon. I wonder if she nows ,back to the story,I stepped on another,she turn around,so I did the only thing I knocked her out cold.
