Hello everybodyyyy I'm super excited to post this story it's in progress but I have a couple chapters and I couldn't wait to share! I hope you enjoy!!
It was always busy on planet Vegeta. Whenever a big war party came home there was a huge celebration for the returning warriors. Although, not everyone was celebrating. This was also a time for families to never be greeted with the ones they saw off.

Gine patiently waited outside her small home with a small child in her arms. She happily rocked back and forth waiting for her husband and oldest son to return. She wasn't the only one waiting for family to return. Marcella was neighbors to Gine and Bardock. Marcella would occasionally stay with Gine while her parents went off world. She wasn't quite old enough to start off world raids yet.
"Kakarot!" Marcella cooed trying to make the grumpy baby smile. "You are going to be so happyyy seeing your daddy and big brother!" She booped his nose as he stared at her confused.
"Kakarot don't be rude to Marcella she's being such a sweetheart." Gine laughed trying to tickle him.

Marcella looked up at all the different saiyans flying to their homes. She longed to see her parents. And a certain boy. A familiar pair came into view of Marcella and Gine.
"Bardock!!" Exclaimed Gine as she flew up to hug her husband. "Raditz!" She quickly snatched her son into a hug as well.
"Gine. Who's this?" Bardock asked happy to see his son born finally.
"Boys. I want you to meet Kakarot. He's a little smaller than I expected but I thought I would wait until I sent him to the pods. He's only a couple days old." Gine said pulling her baby closer to her. They all landed in front of their house where Marcella stood watching them inspect the new member of their family. Raditz held him briefly and then handed him to Bardock. Marcella kept staring into the distance looking for her parents.
"Excuse me Mr. Bardock, have you by chance seen my parents?" The young saiyan asked slightly worried.
"Raditz. Stay out here and tell Marcella what has happened. Your mother and I are going to take Kakarot to the pods." Bardock said emotionless.

Raditz sighed. Marcella looked at him with a worried expression. Her eyes started welling up with tears. Raditz walked close to her. "Ella... there's not an easy way to tell you this. Your parents fought bravely. But they unfortunately lost their lives defending one another. They died like true saiyan warriors."
Marcella started to sob into her hands. She was all alone. Her poor parents died. She would never see them again.
"I-I tried to save them..." Raditz started but instead he pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry Ella." He slowly rubbed her back as she continued to wail. Raditz and Marcella had been around each other most of their lives. His heart was breaking seeing his friend like this.

The first couple months were hard. Marcella trained with Raditz and Bardock non stop for a year. She eventually came of age to go enlist in off world missions. Quickly she was packing her necessities into a small bag. Gine had old armor she lent to Marcella so she could enlist. The family had been so good to her. Fed her, clothed her, made her feel loved. Even after they had to send away Kakarot.
"Marcella, what are you doing in here?" A teenage voice said walking into the small room. Marcella knew that voice. It was Raditz. The neighbor boy who she had a crush on then eventually started living in the same house as. He made her very nervous now. He was growing and becoming a man. His muscles appearing more and more. Marcella couldn't help but feel her cheeks get warm.
"I'm packing." She exhaled as she threw herself into the bed face first.
Raditz snickered "You know... you don't have to enlist yet. You're still pretty young. I'm sure my parents would love you to stay around longer, my mom especially." He poked her head. She growled in response to his pestering.
"Just because you're 3 years older than me doesn't mean you have to treat me like a child." Marcella pouted as she swatted his hand away.
"But Ella it's so fun! And who knows when I'll see you again." Raditz leaned his head on his hand watching Marcella struggling to put on her armor.
"Good I'm tired of looking at your ugly mug!" Marcella snorted as she continued to have difficulties squeezing the armor over her head.
"That was not nice Marcella." Raditz pouted and folded his arms across his chest.
"What no 'Ella'?" She asked from inside the armor covering her head. Raditz noticed she was officially stuck in her armor. He stood up and walked over to her. With one quick motion her pulled the armor down so her head was free and the armor fit tightly around her upper body. Marcella looked up at the saiyan teen and blushed.
Raditz huffed "I only call you Ella when I am happy with you or when I want to tease you." He then booped her nose with his tail. "C'mon you are going to be late to the evaluation." He exited  the room leaving Marcella dumbfounded. Her cheeks red as fire. She had to take a deep breath to focus her thoughts.
"Right let's go." Grabbing her small bag she hurried to the living room. To her surprise Bardock and Gine were waiting to say goodbye. Feeling a lump form in her throat Marcella choked back tears. She ran and gave the couple a huge hug.
"Thank you for everything." Marcella wept.
"Of course sweetheart you have been so wonderful to us." Gine said fixing Marcella's armor like she would fix Raditz's armor.
"Kid, make sure you keep your feet light when you are fighting. I know you tend to be heavy on your dominant foot and one day someone will notice and use that as a weakness. Don't let anyone know your weakness. Or better yet don't have any weaknesses." He grinned and patted Marcella on the head.
"Thank you again. I'll try and let you know where I am when I can." Marcella wiped stray tears away.
Raditz looked like he heard something. He quickly pressed a button on his scouter and began talking with someone.
"Yes sir. I will be there sir." He sighed. "I just got called in to immediately fly off world with the prince's unit. So I guess I'm leaving for a while too." He scratched the back of his head. Quickly he kissed his mother on the head goodbye and said goodbye to his father. Marcella and Raditz began to fly towards the military base of operations.
"Goodbye!" Marcella waved as the house disappeared from sight. They were flying pretty fast since they were on a tight schedule. Raditz like the young gentleman he was, he made sure Marcella was where she needed to be.
"Thank you Raditz for flying with me here." She said shyly.
"Yeah no problem, I was going this way anyways." He smiled.
"So, I guess this is goodbye huh?" Marcella rubbed her arm nervously.
"We'll see each other again. You're a badass so I'm sure I'll see you sometime out there." Raditz chuckled.
Suddenly he felt a pair of small arms wrap around him. Marcella hugged him tight. She was so small only coming up to his belly button. Since she was 13. And he was 15.
"Ella..." he blushed and was confused.
"Thank you. For always being there for me."
"NEW RECRUITS GET IN LINE!" A general yelled.
Quickly Marcella let go and vanished into the scrambling crowd.
"Wait Ella?!" The young saiyan looked everywhere for his friend but he couldn't find her in the swarm of saiyans.
"Raditz! Get your worthless carcass over here or we are leaving without you!!" Raditz turned and saw the Prince of all Saiyans glaring at him.
"Sorry Prince Vegeta." Raditz said as he approached the prince and a commander named Nappa.
"Who were you looking for?" Nappa asked Raditz.
"It's not important. It was just someone I'll probably never see again." He stated looking down at the ground. "Let's just get this mission over with.

Woooo the end!
