Light in the Darkness

He painted the sky

As if it was a canvas,

Adding brightness to the dark.

He put a beautiful orange glow

With a hint of yellow

He smiled, proud of his work.

The majestic ball

Floating in the sky.

"It needs a name." He thought.

Something simple...

But elegant...

Strong and bold...

But soft and enjoyable.

"I shall call it the moon."

He looked at his moon,

Held up his bucket and brush,

And he smiled.

I have created something

To shine my way through,

To make my lonely nights less...

Dark.

And to add a bit of glory

To the wonderful night.
