Iwazumi POV
I woke up in the morning missing the warmth of my love next to me. After all of my work and all the things going on with Daichi and Bokuto and work again I haven't been able to talk with Oikawa.Walking to the kitchen I noticed the sweet smell of the pancakes that he is most likely making. And walking into the room I noticed the sweet sight of him wearing my white shirt that hangs off his left shoulder deliciously.
I strolled behind him placing my arms around his waist placing my chin onto the place where his neck meets his shoulder.
"Hey babe." I say sleepily.
"Hey love." He replies turning around hugging me. We stay that way slightly swaying side to side.
"How'd you sleep?" He asks.
"Really good. I'm glad that I don't have to go in today." I say pulling back.
"And it's about to get better. I have a plate for you ready and coffee is made." Oikawa says grinning back at me.
That grin seems so familiar the slight goofiness of it tinged with seriousness and other emotions brought by years of use.
"Hey Oikawa, I don't think I ever asked you this question, but did we ever meet before?"
"I honestly don't know Iwazumi. Do you have photos of you when you were small?" He asks back.
"I do, they are in box. I'll look for them in a minute, let's just enjoy this for now." I tell him back.
We ate and talked and joked. Eventually finishing and going to look for my old photos and thank God the box was easy to find.
We looked inside and I immediately heard Oikawa gasp.
"We did meet. We were really young I mean I must have been 8 or 9. I had the feeling you hated me so much but you were the boy catching butterflies..." He said and the memories flowed back to me.
"Oh, oh. I did hate you. You were this rich brat who looked loved by his parents and here I was feeling more safe outside in the dark then I did inside my house. But I say you get hit one day, or you fell down the stairs or something and you smiled that smile. The one that looked to old to be on your face but looked so young at the same time. And I thought that maybe this kid wasn't so bad." I said turning towards his face.
He appeared to be crying and it scared me. Why was he crying? Is he okay?
"Love, are you okay?" I ask.
"I am it's just, you were my first and only friend that wanted to be around me for me and not my money or my parents." He said.
"I can't believe we didn't figure this out." I say incredulously.
And Oikawa just responds with that smile.
