Mitch's POV
I stood in the doorway, trying to fight back the tears. Yet another ex to deal with. It seems that these days nobody is a TRUE gay. Gay means happy, after all. I'm supposed to be happy. But I'm not.
"Sorry Mitch. I mean, Tiana and I weren't really doing anything... Wait. Maybe we were. I guess I've changed. The huge 'homo' deal? Hah, just a phase. If only somebody truly loved you."
Left speechless, I couldn't even bring myself to close the door after he stormed away to Tiana's silver Mercedes. Scott, my best friend since high school, came up behind me.
"What happened back here?" he asked.
"I.." was all I could say before the tears streamed down my face.
"Mitch, he wasn't worth anything. I'm sorry." Scott wrapped his arms around me, obviously trying to cheer me up. It helped, but not by much.
"How about we go get some Starbucks?" he smiled, but it quickly faded away after he saw my blank expression.
"Yeah." I wanted to talk, but I couldn't. Opening my mouth to say more, all that came out was "Nghh..." and that made Scott smile again.
"Leggo, my friend." Scott grabbed me by the hand and dragged me out the open door. What he didn't know was that I cracked a smile under all the depression of my breakup.
