Scott's POV

In Starbucks, I tried to make Mitch smile by pointing out the guys I would date if I were homosexual. I wasn't sure what to do at that point, I hadn't seen him crack the tiniest bit of a grin since that incident. What a dick, his ex. I knew I wanted revenge, and so did he, but we both could tell it wasn't appropriate. What really worried me, was that we had a live concert in a day. I didn't know Mitch would put in enough effort, and even though I understood that he was pretty sad over what happened, I wanted everything to be perfect for our Colorado concert.

His eyes looked like he hadn't slept in weeks. His hair was practically coming out of his head, and his clothes were soaked in tears. His smile faded to a half angry, half depressed frown. Mitch wasn't the Mitch I knew.

"Excuse me." I got up from the table and went over to the bathroom. After I made sure nobody was in the stalls, I called up my buddy Avi. I knew he gave the best advice.

"Yo, it's Avi," I heard him say. "What's up Scott?"

"Oh, I'm fine. However, Mitch is not."

  "Oh no. What happened?"

"Ted broke up with him. I couldn't get many words out of him. Worried about the show tomorrow night."

"Hm. Try to cheer him up as much as you can. If he doesn't do well tomorrow, we might need to cancel the show."

The Next Night

"I'm fine! We can do this concert! We got this!" Mitch was jumping up and down, but I was still suspicious.

The set up was ready, and I could hear the crowd cheering. I could tell Mitch had strain in his eyes, but there was no turning back now.

The show continued. Mitch was amazing, as always. As the concert went on, it was time we brought a special somebody on stage and sang to them. Kevin chose a beautiful teenage girl, and sat her on the stool by us.

"Hey honey..." Kevin said. The crowd went wild.

  "Let's get it on."

Mitch slowly walked up to her, and looked her in the eyes. Our bond was so strong, I could almost sense what he was thinking. He saw the green like he saw in his boyfriend. Her smile was fading into a puzzled look.

"Umm..." She said. Mitch's eyes glazed over, and he threw the microphone down with a screech and walked off the stage.
