Attack!

Lily woke to find that Avery was not on her branch.Lily leaped from the tree gave a long stretch and went to find Avery.She searched the prey pile and saw that it was untouched."Maybe she went to hunt."Lily thought remembering she didn't show Avery where the food was.So Lily searched the long grasses where Avery loved to hunt most.Lily saw Avery stalking a rabbit.She let her be,Lily never has seen Avery catch anything.She pounced and landed next to the rabbit she bit its neck and it fell limp.Lily watched as Avery picked it up and headed toward her.Avery's tail was raised in pride at her catch."Have my skills improved?"Avery said with a smirk"What have you caught a worm?"Lily rolled her eyes and said "Four rabbits, one bird,and a antelope."Avery just walked away her tail flicking in the air.Lily followed her sister back to the clearing.Avery set her rabbit down did a stretch and layed on the ground."Here I will put this in the pile."Lily said grabbing the rabbit and putting it in the tree."Grrrrrr"what was that! Lily thought swinging her head side to side.Then a lion leaped out of a bush at her."Ahhhh!!!!"she yelled loud into the sky.Her sister saw what was happening and was eager to help.Lily watched as Avery leaped at the lion landing square on its shoulders.She scratched down its sides and on its head.Avery managed to get a little scratch on its face before it shook her off.Avery was flung through the air and landed with a thump on the other side of the clearing."No not Avery!!!"Lily yelled while launching her self at the lion.She dug her claws into where Avery did and dug deeper.The lion roared and ran off not to be seen again.She raced over to where Avery was sprawled out on the ground."Lily?"she said barely getting the words out."Yes,Avery?"Lily said with tears in her eyes."My time has come."she said trying her best to talk."Noo!!!"Lily said crying now."Follow your heart Lily."she said with her last breath.Lily screeched and put her muzzle into Averys fur.She was gone but Lily knew what she had to do a burial for her sister.She dug her claws in the earth and dug.She let all her anger and sadness go into this digging so she was done in no time.She pushed Avery into the grave and began to fill it back up.Once Lily finished there was just a lump of dirt sitting on the earth.Lily didn't feel like doing anything so she sat by the stream and watched as fish swam by surprisingly calming her.
