I walked closer to Mitch and lifted his head, I placed my head against his. It was a form on saying sorry, or goodbye when I had to leave for a really long time. I looked at the Head Guard who nodded, and I sighed holding back tears myself. “Take him away.” after everyone left I sat back down on my chair and started to cry, I had do this. I had to hurt my friend, I had to push him away. I didn’t want to do that, I didn’t want hurt anyone. I wanted him to be at my side, protecting me like he has in the past. I know he didn’t kill The Apple man (If you remember that is what Sky calls the shopkeeper) and the bystander. He was mad at me, and I know him. He wouldn’t just kill someone right? Jake, my BodyGuard, the guy I picked over Mitch walked in and stood next to me. I held back any tears that were trying to slip through.

“Prince Sky.” there was a pause “Are you okay sir?” I looked at Jake and shook my head. Jake looked at me with worried eyes. “I don’t know what to do about Mitch, and what he did.” I told Jake. If The Head Guard found out that I told someone about the plan, the plan that I had no word in, what so ever, I would be killed. Well, Mitch, he would be blamed for my death. So I am doing this to protect him, to protect him from a death that shouldn’t be that way. I know Mitch will hate me now, forever, but I rather push him away and save his life. Then tell him what is going on, and watch him die. I hear my door open and look at the Head Guard, he wore a smirk on his face and walked over. “There will be a trail tomorrow for Mitch Hughes crime.” I slowly nodded as he left the room. Jake looked around the room and whispered. “Do you really believe he is telling the truth? Mitch is your best friend and you are letting him push you around sir?” I gave him a look and I watched Jake just let it go, I couldn’t tell anyone, not even the person who could help me. I can’t risk anyone hearing that, and risk losing Mitch. “I am going to sleep, I have a trail tomorrow.” I told Jake and walked off, I spotted Alison, I think running down the hall. She got down on one knee and looked up at me “Please, sir. Free Mitch from the cells, he didn’t do anything. I followed him today worried about him. He went to see the shopkeeper, and I watched as the Head Guard killed him.” she was out of breath, my eyes widen. I knew one place I could talk to Jake and Alison without getting heard. “Jake!” I called and he came running. “Yes sir?” he asked looking at Alison. “Come with me, both of you.” we left the hallway and I walked up to a wall. I pushed a hidden button and the wall moved aside, “Inside, now.” I order and the two walked in, I followed behind them. Alison turned to me and looked at me confused. “I know what is going on, I can’t do anything because whatever I do risk Mitch’s life. I can’t tell anyone, nor can I even help. I have to listen to the Head Guard. What I am about to tell you, never leaves your lips. Understood?” I watched as both of them nod. “The Head Guard never liked that Mitch was always there at my side, he hated it. Mitch was the one who saved me multiple times, and he was never there. When I had Mitch join the trainees so he can be picked for my BodyGuard, I had him put in it. The Head Guard was getting really mad at what I was doing. He wanted me to be more like my father, but Mitch was ‘changing me.’ So at the trails he picked Mitch’s weakness and made a new rule, not letting the prince of the Kingdom help out Mitch. When I was about to pick him for my BodyGuard, he stopped me. He told me that if I would pick Mitch that he would kill him, but after killing me first and blaming it on Mitch. Which in the Kingdom it is a HUGE deal. You get hung at time square and an innocent person would die.” I looked at the two who nodded and Alison sighed.

“I did warn Mitch, that he was set up to fail. I heard some of the guards talking about it. Sky, we need to get Mitch out of the Kingdom.” I shook my head, tomorrow he has a trail, I am going to banish him so that he can’t get hurt from the Head Guard anymore. I want Jake to wait outside the Kingdom and tell him everything.” Jake nodded and looked at Alison. “Alison, you will be the one walking him out, so when you meet up with Jake. You both tell him, make sure he knows that I still care about him, and that I want to be friends still.” they both nodded and left the room. Mitch and I made this room, and it is the only safe place we could go and hide. I left also and walked to my room, tomorrow, is a huge day.
