For tonight- KEVEDD

First date~part one

Edd was counting down the minutes  until seven . He managed to keep partly occupied , he cleaned the whole house following each strict detail of his time consuming process. He managed to shower , get ready and watch another documentary .

He also did an hour of revision but it was almost impossible , because all he could think about was a certain red head , who's smirk made him blush and voice made him smile.

Kevin was going to affect his learning , but that was a risk Double D was more than willing to take . He was almost two years a head of his fellow classmates, he would be fine , he hoped.

As his watch turned seven , he sat on the chair by the door .

As the minutes passed , he got more and more worried about Kevins apperence , true it could be common tartiness thought Edd but something didn't feel right. He tried to wait as pacitetly as possible but Edd was beginning to become relentlace .

Ten minutes passed and Edd had decided Kevin wasn't coming . It made sense to double D maybe this was all some joke , and he had been played. Kevin used to do that a lot when they were younger.

What changed Edd's mind , Kevin would never have the relationship he wanted them to . It was just wishful thinking . All Edd would be was a tutor, not even that , all he would be to him was a DORK.

Edd had had enough of waiting and decided to go to his room to cry because he felt doing that in his hallway was a tad strange.

He walked up the stairs slowly , feeling his sadness dragging his shoulders down, as he got to the top of the stairs he heard a rustling sound come from his room . First he felt extremely scared but his body reacted quickly and as strange as it made seem Double D's body was telling him to fight. He went to his parents room  as quietly as he could manage , he remembered his dad told him if there was ever an intruder in the house he had a baseball bat in his wardrobe in case of emergencies . Now , his brain must have skipped the part about calling the police then seeing if you could do anything but instead he went straight for the baseball bat. Maybe it could be because he was so upset it caused him to forget a bit of common sense.

He peered the corner , bat at hand , just as he reached the door which was slightly ajar he lifted the bat above his head , slightly shaking with nerves. He kicked the door open closed his eyes and swung .

"OH MY GOD DOUBLE D STOP," The voice was all too familiar , Edd lowered the bat but opened his eyes very slowly , when they were fully open and adjusted to the light , a panicked Kevin with his hand held up as a sign of innocence could be seen . Edd wasn't sure to be relieved that there wasn't an intruder or to be annoyed that Kevin stood him up.

Edd then threw the bat on the floor and just stood there and frowned at Kevin making as strong eye contact as he could muster .

" so you stand me up , then scare me half to death , thanks Kevin."

Kevin stood there for a moment , his facial expression was confused but you saw the realisation hit him like a bus .

" no ,. double D I was in here , been here since like ten to, I climbed the tree in the front , thought you would be up here , guess you were downstairs."

" then why didn't you come get me down stairs ??"" Edd was furious here was Kevin after standing him up and making excuses.

" I wanted to surprise you , look at your phone I sent you a text when I arrived saying come to your room , if you really need proof,"

Edd did not believe a word , that was until he looked at his phone . Kevin was telling the truth , the text was sent at 6:52 .

" um , I sincerely apologize , I thought you just ditched me and this was all a dream that was too good to be true."

Edd grinned sadly and looked at the floor . Kevin used his index finger to lift his head so the were making Eye contact .

"Why would I ditch a date with such a hottie , I've had a crush on for ages''

This made Edd smile , which made Kevin smile .

" come on I've made a reservation at that new Italian restaurant in town , if we leave now we'll make it ."

Kevin pulled Edd by the hand down the stairs and out the front door that Edd locked .

" Kevin there's no way he can walk to the restaurant in time ."Edd said as Kevin checked his jacket pockets for something .

" you're right , Double Dork , good thing I brought my bike keys ." He said as he pulled them out of his pocket and looked at them with great satisfaction.

"Get on loser." He said as he got on , turning on the engine and putting on his helmet and gloves.

" No , no possible way you're going to get me on that roaring metal death contraption ." Edd shook his head and refused to take the Helmet Kevin was holding out in front of him.

" Come on , I'll promise i'll drive slow , and you can hold on to me to be extra safe ."

Edd thought for  a second , an excuse to cuddle up to Kevin , did make him feel like he would certainly be safe.

" okay but promise to be slow" he said whilst putting on the helmet and getting on the bike making sure to hold tight onto Kevins waist , he rested his head on Kevins back and breathed in deeply.

"That's the sport , here we go ."
