First kiss.

There Edd sat , with his test in his hand and a look of disbelief on his face . This was the last lesson of the day and it was one of his favouites , physics. Normally , when he was handed the advanced test from the term a couple ahead of the one they were in , he was usually pleased to see a large green A+. His personal record was flawless, even to say so himself. He was proud of his grades , he worked hard from them and enjoyed making his parents proud of him.

So , you can imagine double D reaction  when he was handed his test with a large red A-.

Yes , an A-. He of course had a reason , that happened to be the week of the science fair when he not only did his own science project as well as Eddy's so he didn't really have time to revise , but it was all topics that Edd knew; well he thought he knew . But still A- his record was now trashed . How could I have been so stupid ? He thought to himself . He was a strange mixture of confused and angry. He decided it was best to talk to the teacher to see maybe this had all been a big misunderstanding , or a miscalculation on his part. After a few minutes of self prep , Edd felt confident to talk to the teacher .

He got up from his chair , and walked to the teachers desk.

" excuse me sir ?,'' he mumbled quietly . His teacher than looked up from his computer to make eye contact with Edd. God , he's so intimidating .

" don't you think an A- is a little harsh ?" his teacher then slowly pulled his glasses off to make even more Eye contact with Edd if that was possible.

"I gave the appropriate grade for your results , maybe revise next time " he then smoothly placed his glasses back on the bridge of his nose and back to fast touch typing which he made look effortless.

Edd didn't quite know to how to respond . He was so angry , Edd revise ? He is always revising , he has the highest IQ in the whole school and his IQ was probably even higher than sirs.

With eight minutes left of last period , he decided that he couldn't stay in that room much further. So, he walked to his desk and picked up his coat and satchel , he then walked back to the teachers desk , slammed the piece of tainted paper on his desk before heading to the door and turning towards the teacher and quietly shooting a " I will take my leave now" before slamming the door.

He could tell his classmates were staring at Edds sudden surge of confident and confrontation . He used this as fuel to help him get to is locker where he could finally breathe. Letting out a large breathe , he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand .

That was so unlike me . Should I go back and apologize ? No just put your books away and go home .

He then processed with putting his books from the day and carefully placing them in his locker . Just before he was about to slam his locker door , he was stopped when his eyes caught sight of his picture of Him , Ed and Eddy . It was his favourite picture . With Eddy sticking his tongue out for all to see , and Ed giving them both one of his infamous group hug.

This made Edd smile , but shortly after the worry started to settle in .
My record is imperfect . My parents are going to be so disappointed . What would future universities think ? Oh god ....

He looked back at his locker specifically his mirror , he then caught sight of a familiar red head staring at him.,

He felt a blush but demanded to keep it under control. He slowly turned around to face Kevin.

"Can I help you Kevin ?" he asked , he tried his best to not look upset or worried but by Kevin's response he failed .

" I'm fine double dork , what's up , you looked pissed ?" he asked  chewing a tooth pick and staring .

" Kevin , there's no need to swear ." Edd replied , making a small farrow of disapproval on his eyebrows .

" right, you look angry , did someone say something?" Edd was confused with Kevins interest. After being not particularly fond of each other in junior high , and Kevins slight torment towards Edd they had both put it behind them and started to actually become quite good friends. Edd even helped Kevin revise on Thursdays . But Edd replied quickly and honestly.

" I got an A- on my physics test." Saying it out loud , felt as lot worse than Edd expected .

Oh god , how am I even going to go to uni if I got an A- at physics. I'm just going to become some homeless man or worst a teacher.

Edd must have zoomed out in thought because all of a sudden , Kevin was very close. This snapped Edd back into reality but not without a profound amount of blushing before hand.

" sorry Kevin , I'm going to go and maybe have some wine to help me relax."

Kevins eyebrow arched , how naughty of Double D , he thought.

" I might pop over later then ." and with that he left but not before winking and smirking at Edds ever growing blush.

This was a bad idea, to get drunk with Kevin .

But why did it feel so right?
