Lightning touched the earth- it danced around
We held hands as we joined the rave
You told me we were gonna win a war
I sought out the victory proclaimed
After all, aren't we warriors at heart?
Fighting for a means, the high of victory.
You commanded me to fight the darkest night
But I didn't know in the final round you'd be my enemy
We were covered in sweat with blood on our chapped lips
Our guns went off as if tomorrow was non existent.
Our swords clanged together, metal against metal, once we were out of ammo
Neither allowed the other to show any signs of tiring
In the end, we were both stabbed in the heart.
