Andrew’s POV:
I stood in the dark corner watching Blake sleep. ‘You’re bi-polar!’ I laughed to myself. Being a wolf caused that sometimes. Your human and wolf fighting to take control of my feelings. I could still hear the little humans laughing at me when I was younger.
‘Little freak!’
‘Monster!’
I sat on the grassy floor when a larger kid pushed me to the ground. ‘Little bloody child!’ he growled and I cried sobbing. I wanted to be a normal just like everybody else. I wanted to be expected. But they knew, sensed that I wasn’t normal.
I would leave my school. My father would never look at me but Brandon was there by my side. ‘It’s ok.’ He said. His shaggy blonde hair and his green eyes were much lighter and mature. But of course he was chosen by my father, himself.
My mother was different. She held onto me as I cried. “It’s ok my little prince.” Her voice was beautiful and was like music to my ears. ‘Humans just don’t understand.’ She said softly.
‘T-Th-They…c-called…m-m-me f-filthy.’ I sobbed to her. She smoothed my hair back.
‘You’ll grow to become a kind king.’ She promised kissing my forehead. I looked into her blue eyes that were so much like humans.
“Andrew.” I frowned and looked to see Brandon watching me frowning. “Is everything ok?” he asked me softly. I frowned, “You’re crying.” I whipped the tear and laughed softly.
“Let’s go.” I said looking at Blake once more. He was so like my mother. Brandon closed Blake’s door, “I want you to watch him.”
“Why?”
“I’m leaving for business. The American clans wish to meet me.”
“Shouldn’t I come with you?” he asked and I shook my head.
“I don’t trust my father. He’ll try to take Blake and if he does then he’ll still be Alpha.” I said as I walked into my room. My suit case already packed and a nice black suit was laid out for me on my made bed. I could still smell Blake on my sheets.
“Andrew why would you want to go against your father. He’s been the alpha for years.” He warned.
“I’m next in line.” I growled, “I can’t allow my father to rule any longer.”
Brandon stood in front of me, “I was asked by your father to protect you. But I’m also here for your father.” His green eyes spoke the truth.
“So when it’s the time to choose. Who will you chose, Brandon?”
~
I stared out the window of my apartment. Or condo. Whatever the damn place is. I didn’t wish to be here. I trusted Brandon with my life- Blake- but what if my father used his power to get passed Brandon. There were too many what ifs. I pulled out my phone and dialed Blake’s room. “Hello?” I frowned remembering what time it is.
“Hey. It’s me.” I could hear his intake of breath. I smiled. He was getting so used to my voice. “I just wanted to know if you were ok.”
“Why do you care? Are you in your bi-polar mood now?” he growled and I laughed back in to the phone. “Because if you are then you can just hang up.”
“I’ll be good.” I promised, “I have to say sorry.” Silence. “About last time.”
“About you whipping me.” his voice was cold.
