Okay, sorry for the break everyone! I've got a new laptop so hopefully I'll be writing a bit more :)

"Everyone, this is our new student, Eva. Eva, why don't you tell us something about your self and your hobbies? Apart from riding, of course." Said her maths teacher, Miss Stone. Eve stood up awkwardly and moved to the front of the classroom. Her entire maths class stared at her expectantly.
"Um, hi guys, I'm Eva. I live in Birmingham, but I'm boarding here. Uh...I turned 15 last month, in January, and in my free time I like to hang out with my neighbour's horses." A few people giggled. A blonde girl, who Eva recognized as Kasey, smirked.
"So wait, you don't have your own horse to hang out with?" Kasey sneered. "I thought you had to had to be a decent rider, you know, with your own horse to get into Dornoch."
"Kasey, that's enough! It says on Eva's file that she won the regional ODE, despite being the youngest competitor there. I think that warrants a bit of respect!" Miss Stone announced. Kasey rolled her eyes.
"Yeah... so I'll see you guys around." Eva finished. She sat down in her seat, her face glowing with embarrassment. Grace leaned over from the desk next to her.
"Don't worry about her. She's just jealous that you bet her at that ODE." she whispered as Miss Stone droned on about equilateral triangles. Eva raised her eyebrows.
"She was there? I don't remember seeing her."
"Maybe you'll remember her horse then. His name's Douglas, aka Dun It Again. He's a dutch warmblood import. Her parent's bought him for her when Doug retired from the European show jumping circuit. Kasey's trying to turn him into an eventer." said Grace.
"Oh my gosh! I remember him!" Eva exclaimed. Miss Stone looked her way. "Sorry." she muttered, looking embarrassed.
"And your homework is pages 204-206 of your maths textbook. I expect it to be here, completed, tomorrow." Miss Stone concluded. "Have a good day!"

The girls filed out of the classroom, before breaking into smaller groups outside. Grace pulled Eva over to her group of friends. They included a few faces from breakfast. Izzie grinned at her.
"Hey! Kasey was being such a jerk." she said. The others nodded in agreement.
"I gotta go to chemistry. See you guys later!" Grace said, as she quickly walked off towards a block of small modern buildings.
"Wait!" yelled Eva. Grace turned around. "I have chemistry too! Can I come with you?" Grace nodded and stopped walking. Eva jogged to catch up to her.

During chemistry, Eva ticked down the hours until she met Ice. It was only 3 hours until lunch. It was only 3 and a half hours until she was allowed into the stables. It was only 4 hours until Dressage class started. And in that class she was riding a Dressage champion. Eva grinned to herself. Maybe she could live with people like Kasey around.
