It had been nearly an hour since Chloe, Melissa, and Trish found a huge stash of alcohol that the police must have confiscated earlier in the trunk of the cop car, and everything had gone downhill from that point on.

As she stared ahead dazedly, Chloe's dulled mind struggled to comprehend what had just happened. Though she wasn't sure if they were quite as drunk as she was, Melissa and Trish were also glancing around with confusion. The car was no longer moving, and the trunk of a tree was now in the front seat, wedged between Melissa and Trish. Smoke and broken glass were everywhere, and the windshield had been completely shattered.

Mumbling to herself angrily, Trish stumbled out of the car. Chloe and Melissa followed. Clumsily, Trish staggered toward the tree that the cop car had collided with

"Dumbass tree ran into our car." Slurred Trish.

Furious, Trish kicked the base of the tree with all her might, then whimpered and staggered backward, clutching her leg. As Melissa started to laugh, Trish turned around and shot her a menacing glare.

"Dude," Chloe's voice suddenly came from behind them. "is that a spaceship?"

Melissa and Trish turned around to see Chloe staring straight at a floating light not too far away.

"No of course not," laughed Melissa, staggering sideways to catch her balance. "that's just Santa Clause and his reindeers."

Suddenly, Trish lurched forward and chucked an empty liquor bottle at the UFO.

"Where's that pony I asked for, asshole!" shouted Trish as the bottle exploded against the object.

Slowly, the light began to advance toward the three girls.

"Shit..." muttered Trish. "he mad?"

They winced as a blinding light suddenly beamed down on them.

"Run!" screamed Melissa.

After colliding with each other, Melissa and Trish sprinted down the road, away from the mysterious light. However, Chloe didn't follow. She took a few clumsy steps backward and leaned casually against the cop car as the thing continued to advance toward her.

Chloe glanced sideways and watched as Melissa and Trish disappeared into the darkness. They're running. Thought Chloe. Maybe I should run too.

Forcing herself away from the police car, Chloe took a few wobbly strides down the road, but was stopped by a sudden wave of dizziness. I guess not... Thought Chloe as she felt herself tipping over sideways. The last thing she felt was the hard concrete beneath her.
